You're on the right track with cleaning up the font / logo. I want to clean up the notches in each letter, and make it look more contemporary but with a fun flair. I want to keep it similar to what I have currently so that my customers won't be taken aback by a completely redesigned logo and I want to show that after 6 years, the logo has matured but kept it's fun and easy going flair.
Another thing I want to do is somehow do a color separation of TRIG and ELLE. Trig is a synonym for stylish, and Elle is "her" in french....stylishly her....so something that immediately speaks of our style.
Last note....I want to stay away from anything golfy because I want the logo to ease into the mainstream market without having to redo the logo for mainstream. Although I like the triple Argyle. Maybe do an argyle that has softer edges so it's more easy going but stylized, not so stiff and "golf-y". Or, instead of an icon, do a stylized "T" that complements the logo...
