RM_Steve - Really appreciate the diverse thinking you've put into this!
I like the simplicity of the 3 dots and roads, which look like people to me, but I think the playful element to it makes it more kid-like than most of the board will desire. It certainly exudes transportation collaboration, and green to me.
I think the 2 newest entries are perhaps to cluttered. You've incorporated most of what I've asked, and I can't tell as the board (of 8) will make final decisions, but that's just my guess. Other than separate ideas or concepts that you have, one thing that could work might be some slight changes to entry #14. What about a derivation that puts the road on top (to give the logo less rectangle and more squarish style) and put perhaps three cars in the mix that incorporate the drop, a flame (for gaseous fuels) and a bolt for electric vehicles? They could be the same colors, or you could select different colors.
Here's another thought as well. Your Patchwork Catering logo (as shown in your logos on this site) is rockin'! What about simple circle in 3 equal pieces (120 degrees each), with three colors: green on top, and blue and orange (or red if you like) as the bottom two third-circle colors. A white cutout in the color would depict a fuel drop (in green at top), a flame in the blue and a elec. bolt in the orange or red. An additional small detail would be the sun "rays" (V shapes) that would be just in the top green part. That circle could sit beside either TEP, the name, or both (whatever you think looks best). Possible? Jonathan
As you can see, I like what you made! To me the dark ring around the color pieces looks like a steering wheel so it somewhat ties the transportation theme into it. This might become #1!
Thanks for the current ranking - it was a fine suggestion - clean, simple, and to the point so kudos to you too! If you need to experiment further, please let me know. (You've been getting a good 'read' on the intent behind my designs, btw.)
RM_Steve - We have narrowed it down to three designers... and you are one of them!
If you will, we'd like several I think fairly quick variations of #69: 1 - Slightly larger letters in the name; essentially make the name bigger while keeping the 2 row format. Also, the acronym letters get smaller, perhaps 2/3s to 3/4s size. (My opinion is the get too much smaller and they start to look weak in the overall logo, but the head honcho thinks that will look better. I think he just wants to further emphasize the name.) Use the same font. 2 - Same thing as 1, but using a different font. 3 - Again, same thing, but with a different font.
If you can, may I suggest two fonts for the latter two? From your page of logos, I see Innovation X and Hive Realty, LLC. The font you used for "Innovation," and the font used for "HIVE."
I'll be keeping watch for any comments/questions/suggestions from you.
