A very simple Ferrari similar logo (the yellow and badge shape). Hopefully less "busy". I think it becomes 'busy' with company name, slogan and URL. Ideas, input?
Will make a few colour/placements example, but of course appreciate feedback on what you want to see. A little bit reluctant with the chequered flag and racing cars, I think it becomes so cliché. But maybe that's exactly what you want to see?
Tack sa mycket! ( don't have swedish keyboard) I appreciate the new work.
The emblem idea is nice but I don't want to have persons think I have an allegiance to a particular brand. Those badge shapes are so recognizable that the image of the car brand comes to mind immediately instead of my brand.
The "Monaco" execution is much more like it. Is it possible for you to incorporate the coffee theme in some way as well as the Organic aspect? I think this is the inspiration direction I am looking for for someone to wear a t-shirt with the logo on it just for the sake that the logo is so cool. Very flowing and elegant. It shows speed and class.
You're right and I agree with the reasoning regarding the emblem idea. Still it's good to see how it looks for comparison. Main reason why I did them is because I'm a bit concerned about the packaging for the different blends. I mean you probably need something small but very visible sticker/printed logo on the package. I have a hard time visualizing that small logo filling a tee, or vice-versa.
As for the 'Monaco' poster, yes I will work on incorporating the 'organic' and 'coffee theme' (you mean the blends, right?). N.B. all the image elements including gradients in the image are made in Adobe Illustrator and if you would like to print the image on a tee, I personally think the wheels for example, would have to be adjusted. I mean they are OK, I'm just saying for that size they could be better. My main focus was to keep it simple since you said my first contributions were "busy". ;-)
(Just a reminder; the winning logo is the one that can be used in accordance with the competition/copyright rules. Other designs in the competition are outside the scope and is not to be used, but could of course be purchased separately from the respective designer, if agreed.)
I'm sorry to inform that my design computer crashed and will probably not be up and running in the next 2-3 days. (Harddrive just stopped working, sigh...).
All existing design files are safe on external media, but for this competition it seems I can't deliver any more suggestions the next few days.
Anyway, the logo will be used ona 2 3/4" by 4" label on the coffee bags. So that label will have to include the logo, the blend, the tagline for the blend, our contact information. So, my vision is to have this logo on the top with the rest of the information below it. I didn't want to cloud the competition with the additional information as what I really need is a logo. However, I also need a logo that will present itself on a tee as well.
#34/33 are great and very much what I could see on the back of a t-shirt. I am wondering how I would use it on the coffee label with the blend information, organic, 10% goes to charity.
Ok, jag jobbar på att få in dina uppgifter i bilden så att den bildar en balancerad enhet. (Ok, I'm working on including the information into the image/logo, so that it looks balanced.)
By incorporating the blend label, the 'organic and the '10%' into the poster layout, you get a label that is clearly visible in 2 3/4" (The screen example here is 2 1/4")
This layout works very well if you in a near future decide to produce packages. (You know like a hard paper box)
And finally, we KEEP the T-shirt layout by removing the blend label (if you want) and removing the 'www.tracksidecoffee.com brown backplate. (The 'organic' and '10%' can be moved around, resized and even changed into round labels, if you like).
What I'm saying is that you get 2-3 design for the price of one logo. ;-)
This is getting closer. The "organic" callout on the packaging needs to be the actual logo that certifies it as being organic (http://www.organic.org/).
Any thoughts on incorporating some kind of coffee theme? I don't want it any busier than current though. Perhaps something subtle?
I lived in Bralanda in Dalsland. About 2 mil north of Vanersborg.
I'll try to make the necessary changes tomorrow. And I'll try to keep it subtle :-) Will also try to be swift since contest time is running out and you should have a fair chance of ranking before it ends, right?
Dalsland/Vänersborg has nice surrondings. I live outside Stockholm but have family ties to Gotland.
Ok, I hope this is a solution for including the coffee part into the image, without making it 'busy': 1. The direction and size of arm and cup follows the road and castle silhouette and also opens those shapes up a bit.
2. The splashing coffee direction, size and colour gives speed and the colour balances with the text colour and other darker shaded areas.
3. The certified 'USDA' logo is incorporated in the banner. Please tell me if you want to convert these 'banners' into round 'stickers instead, or if you're happy with them the way they are.
4. Made minor colour/shading alterations to compensate for CMYK colour space and minimize any differences between RGB (Internet) and CMYK (print). A professional printing agency will probably alter some settings depending on their equipment and colour space, but hopefully I've eliminated some hours from such tasks. ;-)
The coffee inclusion is a bit "cheesy". I didn't want to make any suggestions as I felt that might stifle your creativity. However, could it possibly be subtly incorporated into the background shading?
I will need to use the official Organic treatment for it to be legal when packaged.
Hi, I will of course alter the coffee inclusion as peer your request.
Hmm, did I misunderstand or isn't the USDA logo the 'official Organic treatment' logo? I've included it but it's quite small... please tell me if I misunderstood.
1.Removed the green/blue banners and enlarged the USDA plaque. 2. Moved the text "Organic Coffee" and "10%.." 3. Replaced splashing coffee with coffee beans in the same colour tones and with a movement towards the car in order to lead the viewers eye. (The can be made larger or in another colour (darker), if needed.)
Tried with coffee cups/mugs and even brewing machines - it all looks crowded and well, like you put it 'cheesy'... continue thinking...
PS. I can do small adjustments on this detail 'afterwards'. Just so you know. ;-)
I like the coffee cup treatment of 140 but the Organic logo treatment of 137 as it doesn't detract from the car as much. Keep in mind with the Organic logo you don't need to reference the organic above.
Adjusted the organic USDA logo and removed the 'organic' text. A couple of things might be good to know: 1. I imported the official USDA vector file into the Illustrator document, not just copied an image. Why? Well simply because so you can resize even that to any size without loosing quality. 2. Most/many of the other brands I've researched include BOTH the logo and the text. I suppose they assume that customers are not familiar with the USDA logo and also wants to emphasize the products value with stating 'organic' twice, so to speak. (This is why I initially included it in the text too).
Reintroduced 'organic' and made the "stickers" (USDA & Charity) approx. 20% smaller.
Still, I'm not 100% happy with the layout of these stickers. I think the round shapes separate them too much. (please tell USDA to pick a rectangular logo ;-). Anyway, tell me if you want to lose the 'globe' on charity and just have the words 'charity' and 'organic'. The round 'USDA' can then be placed above.
For the logo let's remove the organic and 10% to charity. Those can be added in later if your design wins as a part of the label execution when I get to that point. 179 and 182 are my preferred executions (If I imagine the organic and 10% contribution not being there).
Oh, what a shame. That was a great looking piece of work. I loved the landscape in the background. Too bad you had to change it. Still looks great though.
