I really like that, I will review everything with my boss in about an hour. I think overall, the mountains look too alpine. Maybe change the color of the mountains to green as they are in Hawaii. It needs to have a bit of a more tropical island feel. Google some images of mountains in Hawaii to see how the valleys and mountains look here. Nice job, I look forward to seeing more! Thanks!
I just reviewed everything with the boss. He likes your design and here are his comments: 1. No circular shapes, so remove the big yellow circle to keep the shape of the mountains, 2. Remove the leaves, 3. Try to make the stream(s) come from the mountains, from there they go to the ocean, 4. He likes the font, but it should be smaller and thinner.

General notes (updated based on his new ideas):
- No circles or other geometric shapes for the overall logo - Forget the "TSI" and the S as the river, he changed his mind - The company name should be TOWNSCAPE INC. with the "INC." being smaller and more subtle - Colors should be green for mountains and blue for streams, plus whatever else you think matches the design. Avoid red, orange, purple, pink - Elements to include in the logo: mountainous landscape, stream(s), rural settlement, company name
Nice job and fast! I think the boss really meant that this looks too much like a river, but it should be more of a stream (smaller) and come from the mountainside. Look at this picture of a watershed to see what I mean:
Remember how in my original design, the "S" was coming straight from the mountain. Try something like that. But please leave these 3 up for now because I will review with my boss again tomorrow. Thanks!!

Hi, so far I really like #32 in terms of the simplicity of the design. If you could make the stream blue as it is in #31, make the overall logo larger and add a couple of houses/village on the coast or the river, my boss may really like that. We will review everything with him again in 4-5 hours. Thanks for your great work!
we like your designs a lot. Here are the newest comments from the boss: #61 is nice, but we still want a village. 1. Instead of houses, it should be less "literal", so maybe try to use dots and lines to "suggest" a settlement. It should look small and like from an airplane. I attached an air photo to the contest brief to show what we are thinking. 2.Also, the ocean is too big right now, try removing the bottom line and only using one thinner line to show a little bit of ocean. 3. Try to add some "depth" to the mountains by using more than one shade of green. Or maybe add an offset second mountain in the back that is darker and looks farther away.

I really like #81. Maybe try playing with the village a little bit to make it stand out more (maybe add some different colors like some browns. Feel free to make the mountain design larger/wider since the company name is wide, that way the village might be more visible. Also, try using just the one light blue smaller line for the ocean, that will create a nice contrast between the ocean and the company name. Thanks, nice work!
just reviewed with the boss. He is really liking your progress on this. Here are his suggestions for tomorrow: 1. Make the river narrower (it should be a stream) 2. Make the settlement larger (there will be more space when the stream is smaller) and make the brown color darker. Also add some fine dark brown lines (I think right now your lines are white, but it's hard to see). Basically we want the village to "pop" more, so if you have any other ideas (color? maybe gray?) on how to make it more visible, go ahead. 3. We really love the shape of the mountain on the left, the other two are too sharp and pointed. Try to shape the right side mountains rounder, like the left one. 4. Try one design without the white line around the stream and without the white space between the mountain and ocean, so the blue line for the ocean should be right up against the green. 5. The company name is too big and the font too bold. Maybe try a different font like Calibri and the overall size of the company name relative to the logo size should be smaller.

thanks! My boss loves the village. I think we are starting to realize that it is VERY important for our logo to look good when printed small (for business card) and black and white (for letter). My boss suggests for the village, you add some linework to make it stand out more. Also, try a design where the mountains are just an outline with no shading, that way the village will pop more. Also, please move the vblue ocean line up close to the mountains, so there is no white space. Thanks! Will review more in 4 hours.
1. Remove the "shading" from the mountains and just leave the outline. Make the shape smoother/more basic/more abstract (kind of like my original design I posted). They are still a little steep. Try to make them more like the one on the left. 2. The size of the houses is good, but please make the overall village about 20% smaller (remove some of the houses on the left for this). 3. Make the stream look a little less "snaky". It meanders too much. The boss wants it to be more "graceful". Your original design with the big river was more graceful, try to find something medium in between the old and new shape. 4. Please post a version with and without the green village background. 5. Please make the text smaller so it is the same width as the graphic.

my boss likes #141 but says the mountains are now too round. Keep the rest of the design the same, and please play with the shape of the mountains and maybe post 2-3 different mountain styles. Thanks!

#175 has the best font. Please make the ocean the same color as the stream. The mountains are now TOO round. My example was just to show you concave versus convex. Please keep them concave, but make them less round and a little more pointed. See what some of the other designers have done. Please put the shading, we LIKED the shading in #164.

Try something a little more like this. My boss really likes your overall design, but he is VERY picky about the mountains. Make sure the left is a little taller than the right.
