Yes, that's sort of what I had in mind. I like almost all of it except that wide white swath that leads up to the lake. I'm not really sure how I would change it though. It just feels a little out of place. Open to any suggestions you might have.
Better. Could you add in some of those trees from the first version? Maybe put them on the section of farmland on the bottom portion of the logo? If you could figure out some way to represent an apple orchard with that idea, that would be even better.
This looks really nice. I like how the text is very crisp and clean, easy to read, and identifies the town. Would there be any way to replace the river with a lake? Instead of the hills in the background, could you incorporate some small houses? This plan needs to acknowledge that there are tensions between growth and preservation in the community, and I'd like that recognized in the logo if possible.
