Our Ideas & Additional Information
See this link:
http://www.futureweb.at/download2
You will finde page1.pdf, page2.pdf, page3.pdf with some logos of similar companies that they don't get too close.

The most favorite logo is the file logo.jpg, while the 2 logos at logo_fontstyle.jpg are nice as the Word KOI comes out clear.

What we don't like at logo.jpg is, that the fish goes through the font, we more think of the text
Tirol
Koi
Steiner
where KOI is the biggest word, the other ones smaller, and the fish below but not going within.

Important is, that the fish (koi) has nice marks on the body as it's typically for a koi.
To get info about koi's, look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koi

And there is one more thing that should possibly be covered in the logo. "Tirol" is a state from austria with a lot of mountains, and the town we are from has a famous mountain called "Wilder Kaiser".

The mountain should be incorporated within the logo as silhouette.

Examples are here:
Good Image of the Wilder Kaiser: http://www.wilder-kaiser.com/
You also see it within the golf club logo what we mean, just that this is of course too colorful.

Here another one where it shows the typical 2 heels of the mountain: http://www.golfweltwilderkaiser.com/de/ One higher the other one smaller.

General:
We are doing this for our customer, so ratings will happen after we discusses them with him.
I am wirting about the thoughs based on our previous discussion about the logo, so please don't remove a logo before we declined it as our customer might think different. We will wait for some more posting before doing a rating.

So about the current posts:
- Please use the words without the dash.
Basically: Tirol Koi Steiner

Also the word KOI is the most important and should basically stick out from the other words, the approach of #1 was here good as KOI comes out pretty good when using 3 lines, 2 smaller KOI bigger.

Also this is the only logo so far the mountain was thought of, but the KOI (fish) is one of the most expensive and exclusive fish in the world. The 2 fish jumping out of the water are more like a carp, not really that exclusive. It doesn't give the KOI an exclusive touch. Probably a little bit too playful.

Also as there are 2 of them it kinda takes the uniqueness of the KOI. So I think the approach is good, but the exclusively is a little missing.

#5 the koi doesn't look like a typical koi and it would be good to have the KOI word bigger than the others.
#10 do you think you can do it a way that it doesn't look that playful. we try to have it an exclusivly / expensive touch. what is good the 3 parts Tirol Koi Steiner with the KOI being big and red.

#12 it doesnt really look like a koi, but the approach is nice. could you probably do a version that the koi doesn't hide any text and probably incorporate the mountain silhoutte?

#42 Representing the alps and Tirol by itself this logo communicate both simplicity as well as elegance in terms of clarity. In particular the I merging with L makes this logo strong, making terrestrial KOI apart!
