#2 Thank you for incorporating the map icon in the logo. I think these colors are a bit busy. You might try limiting the color pallet, and removing a few of the outer islands to simplify the design. Thanks!

Brendan, please see the general comment that I made about the reference image for this logo, and the images I have uploaded. You are certainly on track here, so I hope you will be able to update your submissions accordingly. Thank you!

Ok here’s thinking out the box, when I zoomed into your island this is the creature I see, he is made up from the layout of your institute and could become the mascot character for your business, I am not sure what kind of creature he is closest resemblance I can see is a Koala bear but that may or may not be important.

Entry #20 is hilarious. Perhaps this can go on a kids T-shirt at some point. Thanks. It really made me laugh.

Brendan,

I have uploaded a slightly cleaned up segmented image. Just in case this is useful.

Thanks.

#40 and #41 these might look very similar so small but the difference is that 41 has no jagged edges the outline while geographically correct is made from smooth curves

Hi please can you help me, this competition is very specific you want the map you like primary colours and so forth but there are some designers who are now entering at the end and taking inspiration from my work I could go the Logo Court route but that gets messy and I dont want to spoil the competition for you, I just ask that you bear this in mind when administering the competition and encourage the other designers to come up with their own design inspirations, I am more then willing to work on any concept for you.

Thanks Brendan

Brendan, I do understand, and will absolutely take this into account. Please take some guidance from the other entries that I have junk ranked. The jagged (pixelated) edges of your new submissions are going the wrong way. As I said in an earlier comment, I think the cleaner edges are working better. Can you try and apply some relief, additional depth or shadow to the submission #18, #19 set. FYI I am under some time pressure here. I need to have a final version by this time tomorrow.

Thanks, Ian

I think the simple design is still working best for me (#19). Details, but perhaps you can play with some slightly different shades in the color palette in this design (?).

I love Calder, by the way.
