What We Do
Tin Roof Brewing Co. is a microbrewery (beer) in South Louisiana.
Industry
Miscellaneous
Color Preferences
We are open to colors. Feel free to use whatever you think will look good. It kind of depends on what the logo will look like. Some colors we have seen on other beer logos that we like are Navy Blue, different shades of yellow/gold, red
Our Ideas & Additional Information
We are looking for something fairly SIMPLE (as we have seen a lot of other beer logos are). We want the focus to be on the words but have some semblance of a tin roof in the logo, but not overpowering the words. Other than that we are very open. One concept we thought of is having the font like the Blue Moon picture or Pale Ale, but with a structure similar to the Cane's image, and maybe a small image or concept of a tin roof after "Brewing Co."

We like the font, shading, and colors in the "Blue Moon" logo attached.

We also like the structure of the "Cane's" logo attached. WE DO NOT LIKE the cursive writing for the Cane's logo, just the way it is set up.

We also like the font and simplicity of the Pale Ale logo attached.

These are the ideals we have pictured, but feel free to come up with something else, who knows, it might be the perfect logo.

We are really looking for a simplistic version that focuses on the words "TIN ROOF," written big, a smaller "Brewing Co.", and some sort of idea of a tin roof in the logo. We don't really want a large tin roof house, just something to let the viewers get the idea of a tin roof while focusing on the text. A stylized version of a small tin roof could work, or feel free to use your imagination.

I am interested in seeing something like the way "Pale Ale" is written here: http://www.anheuser-busch.com/Images/Pale%20Ale/PaleAleEndPanel.png

OR the way the "Blue Moon" font is on the image I attached to the Style and Concept page. What do you think about something like that?

We want our brewing company's logo give off the feeling of a bigger brewery with a classy, modern, simple, refined look, while still giving off the feel of a local southern brewer (which I think the idea of the tin roof will help with). We don't want to look like a small microbrewery with a gimmicky logo. Some of the different fonts and styles we like of other breweries are the Blue Moon, the Michelob Pale Ale, Rolling Rock, and others like that that are word oriented. I hope I'm explaining this well enough for everyone to understand. I can see the image I want in my head, but just can't manage to describe it well enough to get it on paper. Thank you everyone for your submissions and keep them coming, I know someone will come up with the perfect one! Thanks!

Examples 6-8 are more of the style we are looking for, but we would like to try to have "Tin Roof" written out together. The font is also better, but it seems a little cartoonish. We would like to see something a little bit more serious. And lastly, we want some semblance of an image of a tin roof, though we would like the focus to still be on the words...Thanks

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage more participation.
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ At contest close you will need to have 3 different designers ranked in the top three positions.
~~ Ranking is a non-monetary means of showing appreciation for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

1st place - 50 points
2nd place - 20 points
3rd place - 10 points
4-6th place - 5 points
7-10 place - 3 points
10th on - 1 point

Example #58 is a good example for the type of shading we are looking for in a font. Also the way "lite" is written in this image: http://www.strawberryfestival.com/graphics/Miller_Lite.JPG

IMPORTANT!! We have been looking at all of the logos, and while we like a lot, we haven't seen "the one" yet. We think it is in the font. What we are looking for can be described by: Regal, vintage, NOT Cursive script, refined, and simple. We want a quality, vintage southern feel reflected in the font, while also maintaining a modern look to it. I don't know how to explain this other than we don't want a font you would find in a country store, we are more looking for one you'd find in a quality men's clothing store, or something like that. Sorry we are having trouble exactly defining what we are looking for, but we appreciate everyone's entries.

Entry #85 - something about this really appeals to us. We would like to see TIN ROOF written out together, or either have "TIN" a lot bigger so the focus is on both words. We also don't want it in cursive, but do kind of like the way the "ROO" looks. We would also like to see a little bit of shadowing on the letters...Thanks

Example 34- we really like the way this one is structured. It's simple and gives a subtle idea of a tin roof. We don't want the chimney. Also, for the font, i don't know how to describe it, but we are mainly trying to appeal to 20-30 year old males, most of which are college students (we are in a big college town). So we need a font that will appeal to them....THANKS
