I've had a hard time logging into this contest today. Not exactly sure what's going on, but I finally got your message. Here is another version. I can change the lettering to any color, along with the bow. Let me know if you have any other specific colors in mind other than the catalog colors listed before. Didn't mean to scare you with the faces. (Ha! Ha!) Just looked kinda blank. Hope I fixed that. Any suggestions, just let me know.
Please let me know if you want to see other color combinations. My original design colors were close to the colors on the "Land of Nod" catalog that you referenced to in the original brief. Maybe I misunderstood, but that may be why you are getting so many pastel entries to choose from. Just let me know if you want to see it a different way.
Just tweaked the string a little. Trying to get the right look and color combination. As before, any colors can be substituted in any aspect of the design.
#16. Received an overwhelming praise from those that I showed this to, but I'm not sold on the blue. I know that the market will be to Mom's, Aunts and Grandmothers. Can you find the color Robins Egg Blue? I forgot to mention that we cant have color shading in logo (#31, 32, 35), due to embroitery dificultities it makes. I want to be able to put logo on golf type shirts when I go out to market. Being a male, well you know, its a tad bit on the fem side.
Thanks Jason, I'll start working on the requested changes ASAP. I totally understand about the shading, I know better. Guess I just got caught up in the design. I'll have something new posted later this evening.
I think I got a font that is close, but if you want me to keep looking, just let me know. There are several variations of "Robin's Egg Blue" so if you think this needs to be lighter, darker or something totally different I can make that change too.
can you put the white line trim back on the Tie Z's lettering? As far as color, look at Martha Stewart C25 Robins Egg Blue Match | Paint Colors on line. The change in font is difficult to read. Look up whimsical fonts on line as well. They have some good ones (farmers market font style for instance is nice).
As far as the shoe lace bow. looking for a Norman Rockwell like rustic tied shoe lace bow. Hard to describe, i will have to find you a sample to look up. THink of a child from a Norman R. painting with their shoe lace tied.
one other thing on #40. the end caps, solid color please, no run offs. Maybe the end cap another shade of yellow. Better yet, make the shoe lace another color that compliments the robbins egg blue. I'd like to see one (shoe lace) black if possible.
I'll get rid of the screening on the shoestring tips and start working on the shoestring shape as well. I found the blue you are referring to. I can put the white trim back, but the background that made it show up was a screen as well, which is why I took it out. I'll make the drop shadow a solid lighter color instead of a screen so you can see the white. I found a couple of fonts and will give you a couple of them to choose from when I change the rest of the design. May not get anything up until later tonight, so don't think I forgot about you!
Really like the shoe lace, nice find. In regards to the color, didn't think it would be muted or stale. What if you took the shadowing of #45 put it in the forefront and the muted color in the back. Just swap the two. don't know if the lace will compliment the new color though. Im really impressed with the lace. Is the current shadowing of #45 the same as #40? We just received in the mail today the flyer from Bed Bath and Beyond, it has some of the colors we like. Its all about the color, naturally.
Glad you like the shoe string, played with it for a while till I finally got it right. You are right about the color. I did switch it around. I thought it was a little muted too. I'll play with it and take your suggestion about swapping the two. Want you to be happy with the color so I'll check out the new catalog and see what they used. Think the black lace will work with anything, so we'll just keep playing until we get it right. I'll play with the wave again too. Thanks for the input. It really helps.
