Your designs are great!

Just a comment on #23 - conceptually we like how it looks. The only problem is that the more juvenile amongst us may draw parallels to an image associated with a sensitive topic (for some).

Hi Angelina,

As you can see your designs are still first and second. We're actually undecided about which is better as #28 is more versatile but #40 is perfect if something needs to look like a badge (e.g. the website's favicon).

Even though we've ranked #40 and not #41, we're also a little undecided regarding having a border or not.

We've also not ranked some of your other options but don't be surprised if we decide to swap them in with #40. We just haven't ranked them because they are based on the same concept.

Also, was there a reason for using lowercase letters instead of uppercase or even starting with an uppercase 'T'? We don't really have a preference but are a little curious if there were design reasons.

One more thing; little bit curious how it would look using a sans-serif font.

Thanks!

Hello!

Thank you very much for sharing your interesting insides with me!
Here is a preview how would the logo look with sans-serif font - #54

And about not using a capital "T" the idea came up to me, after this
version #26 and #27 - the icon represents two "t" which are two
communicating figures shaping an "s". And I decided to transfer
this over the font - makes it even, tidy and interesting (makes you think why, does it?)
Also makes the "S" to pop-up. And I made the accent to it - with blue gradient,
because this is the first letter of the essence, the main meaning
of the name - the scien-ce/t - knowledge, know-how, etc. Besides, it's
almost in to the middle of the word, so it's making a balance in some way (metaphorically as well).

About your decision between #40 and #41 - The one with the border looks
more finished to me, looks like the symbol, which represents the "t" and the science at the same time,
is out of the box, out of limit, but you control all the process with the knowledge you have - with the border.
That's why it was added. And I was going to upload a version with only the icon as
in #28 but with birder, for the same reason. Check it out here - #55 , and in green #56 .

Thank you,

Angelina :)

Hi Angelina,

Isn't #54 still using a serif font?

Having the last 't' in the name reversed is a interesting concept. Not sure what to think of it. Perhaps after staring at it for some time we'll have an opinion. It certainly makes it more interesting.

Appreciate your thoughts on the choice between #40 and #41. Makes perfect sense. Also like what you've done with #55 and #56 in putting a simple border around the main logo.

How do you think it would look if all the letters were in uppercase? Trying to picture it, but if you have some time it would be great if you could put a version up using all uppercase letters.

In any case, we have lots to think about :)

Hi Angelina,

Just thought we'd let you know directly that we extended the contest by 2 days (since you're in the winning position right now).

We've specified the main reasons as a comment on the main contest page, but it also gives us more time to work through your designs with you while the contest is open (which seems to be the advice LogoTournament gives instead of waiting for the contest to finish and then asking you to do too much after the fact).

Hope this is ok with you.

Thanks for the updates and additional variations, Angelina.

After staring at your new submissions, we're leaning towards having the text in lowercase. Thanks for #83. It really helped us see the difference.

We also think having the 's' in a different colour provides a better balance than having the 'i' in a different colour.

Turning the 'i' upside down in #88 (or exclamation mark in #87) also gives it another point of interest. We're undecided about whether we prefer the 'i' this way or the correct way around.

Of the lowercase sans serif fonts you've used in the latest submissions, we like #88 best. Did you design the gap into the 'e' or was that just the font?

On the concept of the reversed 't' at the end, we think it works better with #88 than in #55.

We're focusing a little bit on #88 because it's a worthy alternative to #28. We noticed you made the logo larger in #88. Did you do that because you think it works better?

Hey! You are putting a lot of energy sharing all
that feedback, thank you, this is amazing! The communication
is so great with you.

About the accent on the "i" - I made it intentionally to show you just an alternative,
just to be sure that the "s" is the best choice.

Turning the "i" upside down is actually an exclamation mark and makes the
logo more modern, dynamic and makes you think "why". Just take your time
to think about having it or not in the logo. I can always remove it or add it.

And I agree with you that the reversed "t" works better in #88, because the
font is more clear and simple. Gives balance and order.

About the changed size - I made the icon a little bit bigger because it
has to be more visible, to be strong of stand alone. Would you like to add
a different color to it, more glaze, shine or anything else that could make
the icon more dynamic in color kind of way?

Lettering - the gap in the "e" - I made it that way. If this style doesn't work
for you, I will change it, not a problem at all! :)

Always a pleasure,
Angelina

Hi Angelina,

We're putting the effort in because it's important to get it right. Also, you're putting in a lot of work so it's only fair we do too.

After some discussion, we prefer the 'i' being the right way around.

About the logo, is there anything you can do to give it more depth? We don't necessarily mean you have to give it a 3D effect (although if you think that works go right ahead), but just something that gives it some extra character. It's difficult to describe what we're after, but your suggestion of using colours, additional glaze and shine might do it too. If you want to get creative with it go ahead. If we could tell you what exactly to we wanted with glaze and shine, we would. Unfortunately, we're not sure because we're not designers. So we'll have to trust your creativity on this one :)

Just a note about the font; if you have a sans-serif font that's a bit wider than what you've used in #88, could you give it a try? If we had to describe it, perhaps a sans-serif version of the font you used for #28. Maybe the top of the 'h' and 't' in #88's font is too long. Not sure, but hopefully we're making enough sense for you to do something :)

Thanks again for all your efforts!

Wow, you've given the logo a very different spin with #103 and #104. They certainly have depth. Great alternatives if we want to go with a different look.

Really like what you've done with the logo in #105, but not too sure about the green. Maybe silver/gray? Or even turn it back into white if you think it looks better without the colour? I guess it would also make sense to change the 's' from green back to blue since we're getting rid of the green?

Can you do versions where you switch the fonts in #28 and #105 with each other? Just so we can see the logos with the 2 different fonts.

Thank you so much once again for being so accommodating :)

I will be glad to hear what do you think.
I precised the font, made the icon more
alive, more glazed and dynamic.

Thanks for all the new submissions, Angelina!

Lots to think about. We have to figure out which font we like best and also which version of the logo is the most suitable. There's something to be said for the simplicity of #28 and in the end it might be the one that works best. We really like how dynamic it looks in #132 and #138 but whether it works for our primary logo is something to figure out.

We'll do some thinking and have a few discussions and let you know. Do you prefer communicating via the comments on here or should we send you private messages?

Thank you for all your communication!
I will let the decision of keep messaging me
her or sent me a PM. It's up to you - whatever
is more convenient for you. The most important
thing is the communication, not where it's been done :)

I agree with you that #28 is very clear, simple and
it really works best. I created the other versions, just
to make a quick impression of this simplicity transferred
in 3D look, something modern, dynamic and luxury.

So, I'm looking forward for your next touch with me.
Let me know when you need me!

Always a pleasure,
Angelina
