My entry for you consideration. High heel inserted in a D with the heel protruding.
The symbol can easily be used as a stand alone / favicon.

#28.... Tweaked variant with lines to give it a more newspaper / daily feel.

Thanks for the great ranking.

Hello! I do like your design very much. I think that the D with the heel would make a nice fav icon. My concern is that the full logo reads "DDaily Heel" because there are two heels.

Hiya Leah..... it is a symbol.
D = Daily and inserted in it.... the Heel... hence Daily Heel.
I didnt want to put a shoe in the logo so you would not get confused into being a shoe store.
My vision is that sometimes a logo should not be spoon fed to the consumer....
let their minds work for once.

But hey... thats just my opinion. :-)

I hear you.
My other concern is the ".com" part of the logo. I'd like to be able to remove the .com from the logo we display on our website, but this one would look unbalanced. Any solutions?

Voila.... #73 and #74....
with #74 being perfect imho... and taking off the .com does not unbalance it one bit.
