Okay, #23 is a little too faded. I like the punchier colors of #24. Maybe could you try a different color scheme?
I like how you're working on ways to make the logo more organic, but the way the words are moved further from the image (because they're centered) doesn't quite work for me. If possible, I'd love the name to fuse more with the logo. Also, I'm torn about the long "i," and while I like the idea of the W/M mirror, I might just prefer the sparer font of the original.
#49 and #50 Thanks -- really like this idea, and it's a great way of incorporating the name into the image. Only thing is that right now the name itself seems a little cramped, so it looks a little less elegant than the previous version. I know you have less space to play with, but is there a way to adjust that?
I like the square design, but perhaps making it rectangular would allow more room? Just a thought though.
Thanks! I don't know why I haven't came up with cleaner solutions before. And it was obvious! Let me present more sophisticated version. With two different fonts.
Nice work -- thanks. I like the new version and they look better. But then I look back at #13 and #16 and still love that elegance of design, especially the larger gears. Also, in #70 and #71 I keep seeing the gears as eyes. Is there a way to enlarge the logo a bit (horizontally maybe) to give yourself more room to fit the name? Or anchor it in a different way, beneath the logo? I wish I had more clear recommendations.
Actually, I was just about to re-design the composition to give it more space, because (as you said) it would need need to breathe more. I will post updates asap.
I was thinking "how about drawing company name as a modular label graphics?" And here's my design. Combination of attractive font and simple, yet effective background allows to use "mill" symbol and name as two standalone elements. If you wish, we can work a bit on wordmark, so the overall appearance will be even more unique...
Hi Paul -- great. Thanks for your responsiveness. The tall, narrow font still looks a little squeezed to me. Any way to go with a roomier all caps font (like the "Water" in my third sample)?
I keep going back to that earlier example -- there's something so perfect about the design there. Instead of fitting everything in a square, what about extending the design horizontally to make more of a rectangle, to accommodate the letters? Not sure if that would work.
I did couple of designs with horizontal rectangle, but it didn't work well, the composition ended up with a lot of dull space and optically broke up. So I'm posting revisions with different font and vertical rectangle, along with couple of color variations...
