What We Do
We're full-time travel authors developing a new brand--The Wine Trippers--which includes a book series, tv show and iPhone apps.
Industry
Travel & Hospitality
Color Preferences
Stay away from traditional "wine" colors, like burgandy red, chardonnay white, etc. Fun, hip, approachable, modern, bright.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Would like to see something that represents travel and wine (i.e., the word "Trippers" in the logo represents going on trips/traveling). Wine glasses, wine bottles, corkscrews, corks, a globe (earth) are some thoughts. Please, do not put grapes or food in the logo. This wordmark will be used on book covers, a website, television show and iPhone apps, so we need one design that will work on all four mediums.

Discussion

We like what we're seeing. We're trying to satisfy our publisher, producer, and iPhone app designer...not an easy job.

Off to another wine event...back in the office tomorrow. Keep up the great work! If you want to find out more about us, go to www.WineOhGuide.com and click around (our bios are there).

Thanks!

Looking good! We need your help: we're not sure about the "sliding scale" when it comes to color and may have slid the bar too far when it comes to the "bright" scale. We are leaning toward a little darker "bright" color, but are not sure how to describe this accurately. The first two on our rankings are good examples of what we like in regards to color. Please reach out to us if you have questions.

Also, this logo will be used on an iPhone app, so keep in mind that when we shrink it, a lot of the detail might not be visible. The simpler, the better. We may have to use only a portion of the logo/icon on the iPhone app and the larger/full version for the tv show and book series.

Again, please contact us if you have questions. You're all doing great!

Thank you. == The McKowens

Claudia -- it's kind of a combination. Even though we use the acronym "TWT" a lot, we like your artwork of the world on the wine bottle. If we used an icon, it would be probably be your bottle with the acronym over the top of the "world label" on the bottle. Make sense?
