Thank you. I apologize for the delay in communication, I was away from my desk yesterday. If you would like to see anything new from me, just let me know, and please be aware that your contest is now in top 5 mode, so I would have to be put in your top 5 to submit.
ok...im moving you up because there are a couple who aren't... like your design but the comment my sister made was that it doesn't have the modern edge we're going for...see our last general comment...
I feel #116 or #123 are my favorites of these new designs. I would prefer the vine be a little less busy, a little more simple. I think the fonts are nice and easy to read. Please also show us what this would look like in black and white.
I talked to my sister. Her comment was also to have a little more abstract goblet that goes a little more with the flow of the g. We do like the fonts that you have chosen for the VG more than the others. We are also not sure about the colors. We don't like the green so much.
My other general question is...once we have a winner, can we get a file type that we will be able to change the colors? I can see us wanting to change the colors for different wines on different labels???
Yes, once you choose a winner, you would receive an .EPS file which is fully editable if you have the right program. Whoever does your printing should be able to use that file and change colors for different purposes, or, if you have Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw, you would be able to do it yourself.
Also, most designers, myself included, don't mind providing color variations after the fact.
Ok, I am home now and have uploaded the revision as it is now, so you can at least see where I am at in the process. :-) Still playing with the Goblet and G idea --- seeing if there are other ways to do it.
we like your font choices...you seem to be the only one who has emphasized the Grandview like we asked. as we talked today, we are leaning more toward designs with more abstract watermark and not necessarily with the vg. (its what we thought we would like but now we aren't sure...) we are leaning away from the grape clusters, bottles etc out of fear it may be overdone and not as unique...so if you have anything new we are open to that as well...
we want the design to be fairly simple, readable, elegant. the comment that my mom made about your vg with the circle was that it had more of a folk art look or like the Amish hex signs in our area...
Ok,gotcha. :-) I have an idea for a grape leaf, I want to try. (and I get that a lot with my work.. the folk art look, LOL, that tends to be my natural underlying style coming out)
