We want a nice, clean and performance minded logo that will look good on our website and on print media. The logo should clearly say The Tuning School without being hard to read, but should look great and professional too. I guess the look we are are going for is "performance professional".

Hi! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank and re-rank a variety of designs to get a variety of new entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monetary means of showing appreciation for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked in the top 10. We like to earn points.

~~ NOTE: While in JUDGING mode, the designer ranked in 1st can still submit revisions.

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

Many performance automotive businesses use a speedometer or car above their logo to the point where it becomes cliche. I like how #15 and #14 have used the speedometer as part of the lettering.

We are looking for options that are a bit more subtle and professional than most of the entries have been. I don't say that to be discouraging and am hoping that designers will make another attempt. Think subtle, professional, integrated (meaning not a lot of huge stuff going on top of the logo, but more integrated within the lettering itself).

Remember, you don't have to use a car or speedometer marking, we are also looking for something different!! We'd prefer to see some entries that don't use these things unless you have something creative in mind and don't mind some constructive criticism. :) Think abstract!!

I'll update again in a few hours once there are some entries that are taking a different, more abstract direction. Thanks!

We've extended the contest because there were 17 submissions with 30 minutes to go. We like some of the new stuff we've received and would love to see more ideas! Thanks!

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to give you all a little information to help you understand what we are looking for. The reason #26 was put into first place is because it best fits our image that we want - which is a Wordmark, not a logo with stuff on our current font. Our target market is Academics - such as Colleges (not students, the actual colleges). So we want to have a professional and good looking Wordmark. We were reviewing the other logos today and debating about them. They all look nice, but we realized they aren't really giving out the image we need to. We would really like everyone to make a wordmark that has less "stuff" on it and be more professional looking, using a new or fresh font (not the same font we currently are using on our site logo). Thank you for working with us, and we look forward to seeing your entries!
