simplify?: we are loving the punched dots and swirls. we generally love anything with a rolling pin, but wonder if with the punches it might be more than we want. can you maybe replace the rolling pin with just a shape?

colors: loving the colors AND the monotone. hmmm? what to do?

font: would there be an even cleaner font you could use for "ticket"? love the scale of the words "the" and "kitchen"

simplify more?: for comparison purposes, we would love to see just the lower case word "ticket," just with really good kerning between the letters, and slightly bigger punch holes. Would love to see "the" and "kitchen" still incorporated somehow.

Entry #9 and #10
I am wondering if there is something shaped like a ticket that could take the place of the rolling pin?

A simplified version. I played with ticket shapes, but kept being drawn back to the rolling pin (I suppose in anticipation of the future of your venture). I'm also presenting a variety of color ways. (Please note that the monotone version is exactly the same as the colored versions -- presented to show you how the design would work should you need to reproduce it in one color.) Finally, I replaced the font for TICKET -- but wasn't really liking it in lower case. To my eye, the consistant height of the caps maintains the simplified look. I look forward to your thoughts. Cheers!

Can you do #26 with the side swirls like in #10. Keeping them black, and then maybe one in color?
Thanks

Aww. I liked the swirls. (This is Amber, btw, the last comment was Andrea). #10 was my favorite. I still feel like the rolling pin may not be right for us. It will be some time before we do more than just chocolate. Even though I love rolling pins and thought it was clever.

Love the simpler font. I can see why all caps is better for your design.

If it is easier for design purposes, "ticket chocolate" could replace "the ticket kitchen"

though would still like to see someone do just the lowercase word "ticket" in just the right font and either "the...kitchen" or "chocolate" incorporated just right

Would love to see more swirls and monotone. Although, we are worried about the word "ticket" getting lost on our packaging. We printed out some samples. Our packaging will be a somewhat small flap of paper over a cellophane bag. we found it is super easy for the word "ticket" to get lost in the shapes b/c the packaging is pretty little.

i would really love to see another fully monotone version with swirls, and maybe a sign shape or other shape instead of the rolling pin. would love for word "ticket" to be as prominent as possible and easy to read.

Greetings! Submitting herewith two new versions (each in monotone and color), without the rolling pin. The swirls have been reintroduced, but in a more compact way, which will allow for the logo to be printed at a larger size in the small space you have available. I'm showing the word "chocolate" -- but of course "kitchen" can be returned. I think I've covered all the bases -- please do let me know your thoughts.

Many thanks for your ongoing feedback and consideration. Cheers!

#10 is still my favorite somehow, I really like it. it remind me of classic french ironwork, a gate or a pretty headboard. though a friend I showed this to loved #19 above all other logos

I would really love to see #10
-with the handles of the rolling pin changed so they are swirls instead of handles
-and maybe even more swirls sprouting out if it doesn't look like too much to you (like the "easy" logo in our reference pictures http://s216.photobucket.com/albums/cc194/hancocklandrea/The%20Ticket%20Kitchen/)

I like the simpler font of later versions better. But I almost want a font that is
-still simple
-but less thin, just a little more stout or square, and more classic.

i will try to upload one more picture to our photo reference to show a kind of simple, classic font we're looking for. The picture is a flyer for "the gentlemen's race"

the thing I worry about most though, as you know, is making sure the word "ticket" doesn't get lost on our packaging, which is pretty small.

Two entries using bolder, stronger fonts -- yet still simple, with a certain vintage feel. The swirls are based on the original version, with some embellishments.

Several with varying degrees of simplified swirls. (I'm showing just one of the fonts -- of course, if you'd still like to see some other typefaces in any of the versions, I'm happy to do that.)

I look forward to your continued thoughts. Cheers!

we love #86

could you do "ticket" in brown and the swirls and everything else in the blue?

I feel like the font for "ticket" is really close on #86, but I want "ticket" have less tracking, for the letters to be closer together, maybe a tad taller. I had in mind some type of subtle typewriter font like you've chosen, though this one is a bit modern.

Revisions in French blue and chocolate brown! I've tightened the letterspacing and increased the height of the type, and I'm showing a variety of fonts with the modified slab serif style. Looking forward to your thoughts!

Cheers!

Hmmm. I find I am still liking the monotone best. Still adore #85. (though the names of the colors "French blue" and "chocolate brown" are divine.)

I feel like I would like to see the punches in these just a touch bigger and just the tiniest bit more spread out. Just to give it a slightly more rustic feel. I don't know if that's a huge giant pain.

Love the letterspacing and type height.

Like the font for "ticket" in #101 and #103. Though I'd also like to see it in the font "another typewriter," but keep the tight letterspacing and taller type height that you have in the newest versions

but even more than that, I'd love to see "the" and "kitchen" in the font "Halo Handletter"

A version using the two fonts you suggested. I've slightly increased both the size and spacing of the dots -- I think it does add a rustic feel.

I'm also showing you a few variations: one with the new TICKET font, and the old script; two with the new script font, and the two prior serif faces you liked.

I noticed your general note of fonts you like -- I'll play around a bit, and submit anything I come up with.

Cheers!
