What We Do
We are general surgeons who provide emergent and urgent surgery for patients who come to the hospital emergency department. The subspecialty is new to the industry and it's called a surgicalist. We help our hospital partners improve clinical and business outcomes through our surgicalists who are employed by us. Our surgeons enjoy a healthier balance. They have a unique schedule, working for 7 days around the clock and then have 7 days off. Our core values are: compassion, innovation, quality, stewardship.

Our Ideas & Additional Information
I would like a shield or emblem, similar to Stanford or Harvard logos so that it looks both "Heroic" and "collegial". I'd like a small icon representing each of the core values in 1/4 of the shield OR the first letter of the value which you will see on the attached PPT. Top left to right C, S,(for compassion and Stewardship then Bottom Left to right I, Q. Across the top five small starts to reflect "excellence" See attached (my very amateur idea... On the icon version, I moved the Quality to the top right to balance out the "hands" images" - these are from Noun Project. DO NOT USE A STETHESCOPE OR THE CADUCEUS (SYMBOL OF 2 SNAKES ON A ROD WITH WINGS)

Not a fan of san serif fonts. The word Surgicalist should be prominent (and the words The and Group could be smaller) Ideally I'd like the hallmark graphic and the name to be able to be used independently or together. Also we have a tagline which is "The Smarter Way to Operate" We have submitted for a registered mark (but it's the name plus the tagline... The Surgicalist Group - The Smarter Way to Operate (TM) so it would be nice to see something with the name and hallmark only. Then some concepts with the name, hallmark and tagline.

Opps - I meant - not a fan of serif fonts. I LIKE bold, san serif fonts.

One more request... the way the days run for the contest, I would like to have the finalist selection on Monday, Nov 4 and Tuesday, Nov 5 (vs Nov 3 and 4, since Nov 3 falls on a Sunday for my exec team).

All designers... i just did a trial balloon test with a few of my surgeon executives. They like simplier designs. Look at the Powerpoint I uploaded. There was a logo I mocked up with a shield and a stethescope in it (which they didn't want the stethescope). Maybe try versions of that concept with the hallmark graphic to the left or right of the name and inside the letters TSG like a monogram.

Hi designers - as you may have noticed the blinded phase was extended. It's not because I didn't see lots of great options. I couldn't start the finalist round over the weekend. My review team includes surgeons and executives who wouldn't provide input over the weekend, so I asked to move the finalist phase to Monday Nov 4-Tues Nov 5. I like so many of your designs! You are all very talented!

Consider how your logo design would translate on the following: as a website navigation symbol, at a tradeshow on a large overhead hanging sign for a booth exhibit, embroidered on a shirt, and a business card, on a presentation, or in a a video (and animated). Some of the designs will not translate well in a few of these areas. If the logo is too busy or the font is too light...
