Psyching it Out
What We Do
Sports Psychologist Dr. Eric Margenau, known as "The Sports Whisperer", will share with you his insight, knowledge and secrets of the true psychology of sports: how to deal with pressure, how to maximize one's performance and how to "psych out" one's opponents.

Despite the plethora of sports pundits and participation by major media companies such as ESPN, Fox Sports, TNT, NBC Sports blanketing the airwaves and pontificating about all manner of sports performance, amazingly enough there is no trained and qualified "go to" personality or expert examining the mental side of the game, the Psychology of the Game. Not from a former quarterback's perspective, but from a trained professional Psychologist's perspective.

TheSportsWhisperer.com will be the home for all of Dr. Margenau's content and merchandise. He will also be available for guest columns, appearances and speaking engagements.

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design -- designers will receive an email of your comment and can respond directly.
~~ When you provide feedback to designers, you increase the chances of getting the logo you want. More feedback = better results!

1. We don’t like the blockyness of the font in all 5 designs. We are looking for a sleeker look. Perhaps italics?

2. In design #3, we don’t understand image of athlete with the star?

3. There is no elegance about designs #1-#5.

4. Using sport images in the logo (designs #1 & #2) seems redundant since the word “sports” will be in the logo.

5. There is no evidence of incorporating the concept of a “Whisperer”. When we think of a “Whisperer” of any type (Horse Whisperer, Dog Whisperer, Ghost Whisperer and now SPORT WHISPERER) we often think of someone who possesses an extraordinary – highly developed skill at being able to read and understand communication at a deep “unspoken” level. A Whisperer is someone who can interpret the behaviors and challenges, and turn them around in a relatively short period of time.

6. The suggestion below implies some direction, not what we want specifically. We are open to very different treatments.
- LEFT SIDE OF LOGO - Silouette of a face, hands above mouth looking to the right, whispering.
- MIDDLE – Text “The Sports Whisperer”
- RIGHT SIDE OF LOGO – Image of an ear, white lines (whispers) going into the ear.

Hi stepupmanagement,
Thank you for your constructive feedback. Also please try to complete your design brief with correct guidelines.
A logo can't be at the same time *subtle but *complex. It's illogical and it makes no sense.
Please update your brief accordingly.
Regards,
Ake
