Discussion

Anna,
What I love most about the logo is the gradation of the colors throughout. Good color palette and gradient effect. However, the image itself is feeling too literal. I am looking for an image that allows for some interpretation by whoever sees it. I'm thinking more tree, less person. That will feed into the concept of creativity etc that my services promote. I also don't like the sun - again too literal. Regarding the words, I think they'll have to be the same color and font (maybe) for all words to have the same emphasis. There shouldn't be an emphasis on any one word as this one has "your". I like the tagline underneath but maybe a bit larger so it's easier to read.
Good work overall so far. The color scheme emits the energy we're looking for.
Thanks

The tree also makes a "t" in tap. The branches form a hearth enwrapping the bird, which can also be viewed as a one's inner being.

The artistry in all of them is really good, but isn't what I'm going for. Very creative, but #9 is a bit too goddessy and my services are less "spiritual" and more focused on each individual's growth both academically and with the finding of their own voices. The idea behind using the tree is to incorporate growth and freedom etc in the image. Although I like both 8 and 9 artistically, they don't really emit the feeling of what I'm after here.

Anna,
I like your artistry and feel as though there’s a way to get us in the same direction. Here’s what I like about your designs and what I’m looking for.

#9 – I do like the flow of the tree, but it’s a bit too feminine for my services.

#8 is a bit more neutral/masuline, but I don’t like it infused into the T. I also don’t really need the bird in the branches. The person should be subtly infused into the image of the tree.

#38 emits the energy of what I’m after, but this is a bit too literal regarding the person. It also feels suited for younger kids and I’m dealing with teenagers and adults. It feels too carnival like. I also don’t want the multi-colored circles in there (even though it’s in the example I uploaded)

The tagline in all three “Find your voice…” is getting lost and very hard to read. The fonts for every image also need to be reworked a bit. Somewhere between the flowing #9 and the branchy #8 is probably the answer. I wish I knew fonts better to help you out, but I can only go on what I see right now.

Colors – The color of the tree in #8 works well. Maybe a bit more green in the branches. The words should be solid colors not gradient. Maybe a rich blue or purple. They should be bold colors, not soft like #40.

I believe I’m getting an extension of three days, so there’s still plenty of time to get there.
Thanks so much.

Anna,
Excellent work. You are currently #1.
Here are some comments:
#47 - I really like the movement expressed in the image. It’s still a bit feminine, but it works. I like the break up of the tagline on either side of the tree as well.
I would like to see green in most if not all of the branches – maybe in just the spirals of the ones that don’t have it now, and you can have less in the ones you have now, so it doesn’t become too green. I like the hinting of growth with the majority of the image being the dark color. Does that make sense? Oh and keep the “head” the dark color it is.
Could you remove the yellow shine in the center of the piece. It looks good on the computer but I think it will simply show as a stain in print pieces. I think you have enough in that piece for it to be removed without losing anything.
I don’t really like the font of Tap Your Truth – too formal. Think earthy crunchy, more natural and bold. It takes guts and bravery to want to Tap Your Truth and grow and express yourself, and that’s what I’m kinda looking for in the font. I don’t want to take away from the beauty of the image though, but I also don’t want it to feel too fancy and formal. I want it to complement the whole of the piece and not stand out thus losing the power of the image you have here.
I am also wondering if making the Find your Voice tagline red or dark orange would enhance it or make it an eyesore. Could we see a version of that too?
Whatever you do for #47, if you could do for #48 too would be great as I’m still debating which look is better for how I’ll be using the logo – web, business cards, posters, letterhead.

Thanks

revisions and some more fonts, I chose bold options that still carry some movement

Anna,
The new revisions aren’t quite working for me. Lets start with #47 again because that’s the closest we are to what we’re looking for. It’s really about the Tap Your Truth font and color of that font that are the issues. So…

#47 - Remove the yellow in center. Let’s see what removing all green from the branches looks like, and then also what just the tips of the branches with green look like (kind of like #48)

For “Tap Your Truth”: Can we try the font from #9 but with capitalized first letters as I think the flow of that style might work. Lets also try #8 font with caps as well. I’d also like to see what a more royal blue looks like to distinguish it a bit from the color of the tree – not too much contrast but a bit more than what we have now.

For the tagline – “Find your voice…” I’d like to see how it looks in a reddish orange to see if we can incorporate that color in there as well.

I can’t thank you enough for all the revisions. It’s all about finding the right font to fit within the flow and energy of the rest of the piece without being too elegant.
Great work.

Anna,
Definitely getting there. Thank you.
Ok #59– Lets go back to the green font for the tagline because now it looks too busy with the orange.

I’d also like to see where you already have the green in the branches to simply make them bolder green rather than softened like they are. Again, thinking of print, I’m afraid that because they’re hazy, they’ll simply look faded and not give off the effect of what we’re going for. It may even be able to stay the same shade as it is now but without the filter.

Back to the font of Tap Your Truth: Definitely better but I’d still like to see it in the font from #9, just capitalized.
Thanks

Anna,
OK. I think we’re nearly there. Here are the combinations we’d like to see:

The graphic from #65 with the tagline and Tap Your Truth from #47.

The graphic from #65, tagline from #47 with the Tap Your Truth and design of #48.

It seems like the tagline is bolder in #47 which is what we like if that’s the case. If not, then my eyes are deceiving me.

I just noticed that the actual graphic has two different colors in the trunk (almost like the person is coming out of the tree.) Can that all be the darker color throughout? I liked the graphic better when I thought it was all the same color.

Question for you: When we get the final logo, will I be able to manipulate the different aspects of it? For example, if I just wanted to use the graphic without the words sometimes etc. Please let me know.
Thanks

The elements are all vector objects and can be used alone or together. If you need I can provide them on separate files.

Can we see the tagline font in the same color as the branches. If it looks too light, you can darken it but it looks a bit teal right now. Trying to keep the same color family between the two.
Will I be able to change the fonts in the future?

This is a two color design, to save on printing costs. Again, colors can be swapped which ever way, if you like orange and teal, deep purple and royal blue, etc.
