In general really like the feel of these logos....and I think the additional color is heading in the right direction. Would prefer the "heart" portion to remain red....would love to see some options using orange and pink and the green to showcase "full color" printing options...the font used in Promotional Programs and Products is quite thin and I am not sure it would embroider, but it is such a long phrase, I am not sure how to work around that? thanks for working on these! Looking forward to see more! :)
Really like the revisions, but have decided I don't want to replace the red with pink...want to stick to red for the heart, but like the idea of a gradient of green, pink, orange, etc in what ever order you think is graphically pleasing. Like going from the "square" icon to the round, but can't quite decide if I want to keep the house shape I have always had or if I like some of these others better. Was REALLY surprised at how well it popped and how much I liked it on the black..gives me a good sense of what it might look like on some apparel :) Keep at it...liking this direction... :)
Makes sense with the round...it does just seem more dynamic and energetic :)
Torn on the gradient versus spot colors...seems like the gradient has more energy and is more conducive to full color digital imprint, which is one of my goals...
If you keep the red, and you were going to pick colors to add to it, what colors would you choose for an up to date, innovative logo? Is the bright green/orange on its way out? What color palette trends do you see coming?
Thanks again! We have both worked TOO much on a Sunday! :)
I think I need some reasons for color choices...I know, for instance, that orange was the "color of the year" in 2013, but I don't have a sense of what the trend in color is, or what colors communicate. Most pleasing to my eye are the colors in #11 and # 58....but does that make the most sense for my business and what I need to communicate to clients?
I am also still torn between the "new house heart" and the original shape of the roof and heart that I have used over the years. I like the Scandinavian more whimsical feel of the original shape, but again, I need to sort through what is the best communication tool for my business.
Curious to see # 34 on a white background...really pops to me on the black, but doesn't seem like comparing apples to apples.
AND, I feel so far, all of the designs I have are a bit typical...I like them, but so far don't have a "WOW, I never thought of doing that" version...maybe I come back to some of these more "typical" designs, but I am longing to see some that are a little more out of the box....:)
Hope that helps a bit...do let me know if there are more specific questions you have. Looking forward to seeing more of your work! :) If this was easy, I wouldn't be doing a tournament! lol
based on the color meaning, i choose RED, GREEN, BLUE, and BLACK/GRAY.
2. shape the new shape which i offer to you is more refined, cleaner, and more professional. I think you need a big change in the logo for a better impact on your business. the original shape is more childish, not serious, playful. if your business is advertising agency, that is suitable.
3. #34 on the white background is #33.
4. yes, because you said on the brief to retain the house/heart icon of your current logo. circle shape and new shape for house/heart which i create is one of the great idea for out of the box.
I already explained to you the meaning of the shape and color of a logo. now, turn to you for the decide willing to which direction? your choice is the best. i as a designer is ready to assist you.
My business is a promotional agency, so I do like the playful element of the original heart/home...but also understand what you are saying about change. Could I see 33, 34 and 69 with the "old" heart/home as well? And also 69 on white?
Also, as we get close to the end of the contest....wondering how you would add the web address and phone number? Often that needs to be used with the logo....www.thesourcehouse.com etc. Thanks!:)
No final decision yet, just trying to keep an open mind and look at things from different angles. Not quite sure if my business is best served by going with a design like yours that is quite similar to what we have always had, or if there is value in doing something the keeps the house/heart icon, but steps out of the box a little bit...still pondering, and thinking, and gathering feedback.
Good for you for attending the foundation event! :)
