#15 is the clear leader right now....simple, modern, icon which is not competing with our "The Sofa Company" logo.

Other logos dont capture the same theme or purpose.

Remember, this is simply an ICON which will launch our SOFA BUILDER APPLICATION.

Interested to see other ideas on the same. Email me with any questions....nick@thesofaco.com

#20 - this is going in the right direction....button style is desirable, but there should be more of sofa/furniture connection. I dont want the sofa image complicated....more abstract, modern representation.

#36 - is there a way to convert this more into a square button...this has appeal as it convey the right message, but the fact that it is a rectagular shape seem more like a new logo to us.

#41 - this is a nice button....any ways to identify more of the building angle while keeping it simple and clean like this?

As a part of the site policy and designer submition rules, to avoid similarities and protect designer's work, moderators had to decide when a design is to similar to another . If somebody bring that in our attention, we have to take action . In this case , 3 moderators voted that the eliminated designs were too close to #15 and #62 .
extract from submition rules :
"Made sure that your entry is significantly different than existing ones."
Thank you for understanding .
All the best

I don't think #41 is too similar or similar at all for that matter to #15. #15 is a stylized S that forms a side-view of a sofa while #41 is a frontal view of a sofa. The only thing similar is the white accent on the button. It's closer to #62 as a magnified version though. Nonetheless, I don't think this merits removal.

Apparently, I was told to take the dispute out on the forum. The reason my piece was removed was for the issue of the button element (which, as of now, I have noticed in at least 6 different other designs, mine included). I don't think it's fair because that's what the client requested, as per the comments. So, I created a version of that logo, only in button form. That's it. Plain and simple. I'm not out to steal other people's designs or ideas, and I respect and have artistic integrity for other people's work.

Actually, let me retract some of what I said: the request was not directed towards me and my entries, but towards another designer's work. The request was made by the CH to the designer via the logo designer's comments section, and I looked at the comments to view what the client liked/disliked in order to help improve my chances of winning/getting ranked. I was under the assumption that doing this was okay, thus being fair game. If that is not the case, and I indeed copied and/or stole ideas, I apologize and will remove all of my entries from this contest.
