The Silver Rattle - Baby & ChildLogo Design Contest

It is hard for us to rank the 2 designs we have received so far. Design #1 is classy looking and design #2 is more whimsical. We are looking for something in between these two - leaning more towards the whimsical. We don't want any art that is too babyish (no baby feet) because our name already implies "baby". We need to convey the child aspect in our logo. We have lots of traditional wooden pull toys and other wonderful European toys in our shop and many people visit us for those. Perhaps some toy related art would work. If all we did was sell baby things then #1 would work nicely but we are really trying to bring our logo around to show that we are more than that. We like the idea of a whimsical font as in #2, but we would like to see some different font options. #1 places an emphasis on the word "rattle" and that is not what we are looking for. We like that #2 made "silver rattle" stand out and the other words smaller.

#5 can you simplify the art and change the font? we like the general idea...toys with our name...but prefer a simpler logo with 2 or 3 colors...less expensive to reproduce on packaging and advertising.

#9 love the simplicity but not the balloon...going in the right direction though...

#3 no rattle please but the rest is quite elegant and we like elegant....add a touch of whimsy with simple art that is not a rattle and perhaps a different font for "silver rattle"...a bit larger on the "baby & child"

Perhaps a child's spinning top, a more refined looking rocking horse or hobby horse, a child's rocking chair, a teddy bear, or simple blocks would work for art...we're not sure what we are looking for but we will know when we see it...thanks for all of the great submissions so far.

a child's wagon, a simple wooden pull toy, a small group of 3 or 4 toys, a border of toys, a birthday present with a toy coming out of a box....

a toy boat, a toy train, a toy plane, a doll, a child blowing bubbles, a jump rope, a kite, a set of jacks and a ball, a jack in the box, a child pulling a toy...

We truly appreciate all of the hard work the designs have been putting in to our logo and the many revisions and color options you have done. There have been many wonderful choices submitted so far. Please make sure to add the Toys - Gifts - Furnishings - Decor to the logo with bullets in between each word. If you have an idea for a tagline that you think would work better we would love to see it. With regard to color, we will need a black and white version for printing on our bags so the logo will need to reproduce well in one color (probably black, white, silver or blue). The actual logo can contain some eye-catching color but we would like for it to be simplistic and the color choice should reflect our business and the look and feel of our store - think classic, upscale, traditional. We need to stay away from the pink and blue designs as these are too baby focused and we are a children's store - in spite of our name. Please don't hesitate to contact us with questions. What a great group of designs ~ I think this will be a tough contest!
