Example 16: We really like a lot about your design. The hill view of the road is awesome and love the three shades of green you used to make the cactus stand out 3D. He looks round and not flat. The black outline really makes him "pop" too. The font is a nice choice too. Kind of western, but not serious. If we choose your design, will we be able to find this font easily for other signage in our park? We aren't crazy about the sheriff idea and would really like to see eyes. Thanks so much for getting involved with our contest.
Hi Dave, we are hoping you can clarify something for us. When we purchase a design, do we own it in whole AND in part? As an example: Can we take the liberty of adding a santa's hat to the cactus at Christmas time? Can we use just the cactus guy by himself embroidered on a shirt pocket? Can we rearrange the design elements to make it more horizontal (like the design ranked as #2 in our contest) when it suits us. The header on the top of a website page for instance might do better with a more horizontal design. Please let us know if we have the right to do these things.
Hi Shawn, all good questions, but you don't need to worry. Once you buy a logo here, it's yours. All rights to the design go to the contest holder. You can change it in any format you'd like after the contest. Obviously, it's in every designers interest and hopes that you will still need their "help" after the contest is over. The designer should deliver the final accepted design in various file formats so that doing signs, t-shirts, embroidery etc… will be easy for you. The designs will be in a vector format meaning that you will have top quality no matter what size you'll need it in. Be it on a shirt pocket or for billboards on the highway, the quality will look great. I always do the designs so that it's easy to separate each element. If you need the cactus only, you can take him out of the design and place him where you need him.
I hope that answers your questions. Let me know if I can help out anywhere else. Dave
Thanks for the horizontal version. It'll work nicely for the webpage. FYI - I think we've decided on our slogan to be "Enjoying Life In The Slow Lane".
