entry #16 - I love the text. my comments would be to incorporate a shoelace into the font? and potentially add a small icon - like a pie or cake above....
entry 14 - love the attempt at shoelace text but looks a little more like rope than shoelace, and is lacking the curly ends of the letters maybe add a curl to the bottom of the 'R' and 'T'?

Thanks for the feedback. Sure I can add a cake or something, I'll see what I can do :-)

I really like the long tail on the 'g' of running that your previous logo had....
Are you able to incorporate your entry 43 and 16?
Also - the frayed ends of #43 could work better as ends of shoelaces :)

45 and 46 are both looking really good.
any chance of having a look at a tart image instead of a cake?

Sure I should get time today :-)

I was just thinking about the colours, you could have 2 colour versions. If you have the design on brown paper bags, you could have white or lighter colour writing then on white paper a darker colour font. Just an idea. Or you could choose colours that work on both, it just might not contrast as well as having the 2 colour versions.

yeah that is good thinking.... i like the deep oranges ass my main logo - but a blue or white would look good on the brown paper bags.
really love the circle - think that is working well
my suggestions moving forward would be to play with the image of the tart and possibly change up the circle to a shoe lace to see if that works?

Working on it now :-)

i like where you are heading with the design.
the shoelace circles are tending to be a little wavy.... are you able to try it with the proper round circle and have it end in shoelaces?

Logo Designer
Hey! I was going to use a round circle but thought it might look a bit stiff for a shoelace. I'll try it and see how it goes. I agree, I think the laces ones are a bit wavy. I think I like #99 the best at the moment. I'll keep going :-)

I've done the circle one in #103 with the laces. I like it better than the wavy ones.

hey
the new ones look good - but the laces look a bit more like skipping ropes - the end bits need to get skinnier rather than wider :)

You're right! Just looked at my runners, I see what you mean. I've changed the latest one.

one more thing to try..... i like the brown laces on the outside...
are you able to try and make it a tiny bit thinner and make the ends of the laces a colour similar to the brown rather than yellow?
thanks

Logo Designer
Sure, I can do that.

i am just trying to see what is the difference between 110 and 111?

Sorry I should have said. #111 RHS of shoe lace is up a bit higher from the text :o)

thanks for the new entries.
loving the move of the tart within the circle...
my recommendations from here - can you have a look at changing the outer circle of 155 to the shoelace as it is in 111? and the cake still looks a little too cakey rather than a tart..... not sure if you could have a look at that?

thanks :)

and the size of the cake in 155 is probably just a tiny bit big for the space

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!
thanks so much - still a few minor things i want to experiment with but looking amazing!!!

ok so my thoughts to make this one perfect are -
1- can you please make the pie a tiny bit smaller so it is not touching the writing.... looks a bit cramped.
2 - can you add the inner yellow outer circle like the last design had to see how that looks?
3- pie on a slight angle (like the last design - very slight)
4 - can you try the previous design with the new pie - and possibly with 'Running' with shoelace ends to the R and g ?
I'm really torn between the shoelace outer and the pie crust.

and just a question.....
are you able to give 2 designs - as in one within a circle like i have rated highly and one similar to some of your early designs (like #69) with the updated pie? so i can use them for different things? or just one?

Thanks

Hey Kelsie, I can do the revisions. As for the 2 designs, I will check with Ivan on admin, only because sometimes they won't allow it as it counts for 2 logos. I personally don't mind giving out the 2nd with it, but only if Ivan says it's ok, because if I break any rules I can get banned from the site. So I'll check what he says, because it's the same subject matter so he may allow it, but it's really his decision. So I'll let you know what he says, he usually takes a couple days to answer if we email him. He might respond quicker to you if you ask, but I'll need to hear it from him anyhow. Hope this makes sense. :-)

Also, #173 has shoelace ends on the 'r' and 'g'. They're a light orange to go with the darker orange. They're a little hard to see because they're small but I'm putting another one in with dark brown ends also. #174

Looks great.... Not on my computer at the moment so I'll take a closer look in the morning :)
Thanks very much
And In regards to 2 logos, if it's against the rules then that's fine, I would have thought if it's just lacking the circle it's pretty much the same.... But let me know how it goes :)
Would be great for the writing one for invoices etc and the circle one for products!!!

OK.... having a better look at the designs - I still love the pie crust one (ranked #2) but I need to incorporate the running aspect into the design and I feel it is too subtle....
are you able to try and make the writing on 'Running' a bit more obvious that it is out of shoe laces?
and another thing - the #3 ranked writing - the curl on the g crosses over - maybe you could try that within the circle with the lace end and see how it looks?

sorry - I know I can be fussy....I'm also a designer so I am very particular with what I want and need it to be perfect.

thanks :)

I've made the 'running' word a little more loopy, added some ends to the 'r' and lengthened the 'g's tail. #176. I don't want to make it any thicker because it will become harder to read (being printed so small). I smoothed out the 'n's too, the word flows better now.

hello again
thanks for the updates.
I think I like the added curl on the g, but prefer the R as it was previously.
I think I will also stick with the shoelace outer circle as the shoelace text is too subtle.
Fave design is #177 - but if you could alter the 'R' to less curly

thanks :)

Love it!!!
did you manage to chat to the Ivan regarding keeping 2 versions of the design?
I love #178 but was hoping to use #172 also (and hoping you might be able to add the light shadow under the pie to match the other one).
Thanks so much for all your help - finally satisfied :)

You're welcome! I did email Ivan, he's yet to reply but I think it'll be ok because it's just formatting really with the same elements. I'll email him again tomorrow. And I can add the shadow too. :-)

I got a reply from Ivan, I read it to mean that it's best to get you to contact him in regards to the logo (guessing he means through the 'contact us' button). Sounds like it'll be ok though because you aren't getting any extra work done, just a variation without the round bit. We can supply a stacked logo and straight logo so it's the same thing really. I added the shadow to the straight version too. :-)

Thanks Bluechomp
Ive extended the contecst so i can have it sorted out. I couldn't find any sort of contact us button but i have emailed support@logotournemant.com so hopefully that gets to Ivan.

Thanks for all your help - really happy with the outcome.

Where in Australia are you?
I don't know your method of working but if i could grab your contact details so i can contact you after the contest has ended in case i need anything further (obviously will pay you for any further work).

cheers
