Color Preferences
Our school colors are red and grey, although we frequently incorporate white, silver and/or black.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
The name of our school is Palmetto High School. The logo should convey the message that we are a marching band and/or musical group, so a musical symbol such as a treble clef or music note could work, as well as a palmetto tree in the style of the South Carolina State Flag. Another option would be to include or incorporate a "P" (for Palmetto) and/or musical symbols. If any letters are used besides a "P", it should read "The Regiment" with no other wording.

Discussion

#1: We like the incorporation of color and the fronds, but are looking for something a little more modern feeling than the bass drum, maybe even a little more abstract. We appreciate your entry!!

For those looking for inspiration who might be unfamiliar with the activity, you can visit the website below, click on "Corps" in the top left, the on the left click on "World Class" These are well-known icons in the activity that you can view as samples. www.dci.org

#2: The use of the palmetto tree from the SC state flag has not been granted to me. A similar silhouette will work fine. I would rather have a pictoral or abstract mark more so than the actual wording. Using the words "The Regiment" is optional.

#3: On the right track, there! I don't like the font of the P in the icon, but love the concept. Keep experimenting with other shapes for the background color of the icon. But definitely in the right direction now!

I'm concerned that the half P/half palmetto branches are starting to resemble an Indian Head, which is our rival. :) I like where this is headed, but would like to see a little more of an absract approach.

I love the abstract feel of #8, but love the simplicity of #6. If #8 could have a less abstract palmetto tree, and somehow include that stuff and be more simple that would be good. Also, if #6 could have the letters in red and outlined in black that would be cool, too. These are great!

#11: Love it. Can you take The Regiment away or put it underneath and add an abstract letter "P" in the middle grey part?

Love the real palmetto tree in #10, but really liked the subtle letter "P" in #8.

I would also like to seem some designs or different versions with a black background.

I like the Worded Regiment as well! We will also accept "Palmetto" with music symbols, etc. in it! Great idea!
