Thanks for the submissions so far guys,

The Day, I need you to focus on the Rustic aspect of the brief, everything is a bit too simple for me there. The orange you have used is a bit too sharp aswell, I am looking for something more towards an orange-brown (I call it burnt orange)

Cetakos, I really like the vibe you have gone for in the design but I will need some colour. Also, the character in the logo is a bit old fashioned, maybe have a look at replacing that with another image or take some influence from The Days character design.

Business Builder, I am afraid you are off the mark for me, this is not a direction that I can see myself taking.

Some more direction, the reason I want to go with Charcoal grey is because I like the idea of colouring the cafe in chalkboard paint and rubbing chalk dust all over it to give the impression of a chopping board covered in flour. Maybe incorporate this into your design?

For further clarification I want you guys to really focus on the rustic and gourmet characteristics. Keep things simple, even stick men. Think of a charming hipster English meat pie cafe in williamsburg, Brooklyn. Exposed red brick interior, upcycled everything in decoration. Maybe drop the "say hi to the pie guys" and go with "gourmet pastry café". Let's see something different.
