The target audience is independent, innovative thinkers. Some might be creative. The building is a newly renovated theatre from the 1920s.

Think Timeless and Subtle. A solid typeface is very important. Maybe try some serif fonts. FYI - Copperplates or Overly Decorative fonts are not the directions we are going
