General Comments: 1. Like the Jack Daniels type of look of #3 2. Like the "paint splatter effect" of #3 as long as it doesn't get too frilly. 3. Don't like the way the shading is done in #3 within the letters although I do like the idea of trying to make it look worn out. 4. Like the western aura of #2. 5. Don't like the frilly lines on #2. 6. Like the simplicity of #1. 7. Don't like the symbol of #1. 8. Like the Jack Daniels type of look of #4. 9. Don't like the frilly decorations of #4.
For future entries: 1. Would like to see a couple versions that aren't black and white. 2. Would like to see a couple versions that don't include the name.
1. I like the mountain as the letter "A" in #18 and #19. It seems to fit more naturally in #19. 2. I like the style of the chain better in #15. but prefer the shape of the dog tag in #5. I also think I like seeing only part of the chain. 3. I like the text font of #15 and #5 better than #14. 4. I really like the fire and saloon imagery of #12 and #13, but would like it to be grittier and more old fashioned.
Right now it's pretty much a tie between #5, #7, and #19.
For #26, #27, and #28 I like the text and look of all three. I don't really like the stars on the dog tag. Could you try versions both without the dog tag and with a tag without stars?
I like the textual format of both the entries. For some reason the fire doesn't quite work for me. Is there a way to make it grittier? More in the "messy" style of the writing?
Thanks for all the entries everyone. I'm about to hop on a plane and won't have time to review the entries again before the deadline so I'm going to extend the contest. I'm going to extend it a week, but hope to end it much before then.
Right now I'm leaning toward #67, #51, or #34. For #67, can you please try versions wtithout the swirly lines and with the fonts or Original and Man Camp the same (try using each of the fonts currently used).
Thanks for all the great entries everyone. I really appreciate it. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to be as active the second week because of some personal commitments, but this has been a great experience for me.
I won't have time to comment again before the deadline so wanted to say thank you.
If you are interested in learning more about the final product, email me at clevercamps@gmail.com and I'll let you know when the camp is fully operational.
