#178 and #179 Thank you for your entries. Although we like that your pictoral mark has a classic style to the motorcycle and rider, we do not like this particular depiction because it is flat and only two dimensional. There is no depth and so it does not evoke any of the action or excitement of motorcycling. We think it would be better to show a view from the front of the motorcycle while the rider is engaged in some action, such as a wheelie (lift the front wheel off the ground) or leaning the motorcycle to enter a turn (or both a wheelie and a turn).
And of course some color instead of all black.
Thank you very much for your efforts!
Please also note that we have posted on our website examples of motorcycle art that we feel capture the action, passion, and excitement of motorcycling (which are the top three things to communicate through our logo) in order to clarify what we are looking for in a Pictoral Mark.
The page link is:
http://www.themotochannel.com/logoauctionmotorcycleart.htmlWe think that IF you design a similar image (remember that you are not limited to these examples), it should be located to the left of the words, as they each depict a motorcyclist moving to the right, which would draw attention towards the words "The Moto Channel".
Please do not feel limited by these examples. We are open to any and every suggestion you might have. Thanks!
