The Mission must not only communicate "the rustic timeless mission church" (see attached image) but also the modern "church is not the building but the people going out." Men are going to be challenged to use their jobs skills and passions to be on a mission with God to see their city changed. If you use a cross or other symbol, the idea of going out would be very cool. For instance, if you use a cross, maybe arrows pointing north, south east and west? PLEASE don't get hung up on the cross. The goal is "Mission" and "OUT"
Respect the historical culture of Tucson and "mission" feel yet not "churchy" or "old". The name" The Mission" is refecting back to the 1600's missions of the southwest. I do not want it to be the main focus on the logo, but an abstract cross or "arch" of a mission can be a part of the logo. If a cross is used, it should be modern looking. Again, NOT INTERESTED in a churchy look. Attached are what some of the hotels and resorts are using in the Tucson area. Do not be limited by these.

http://www.uniontucson.comA logo with something that could be seen as a mission. Maybe a cross and a "part" of an arch could give that church idea without saying "church" attached is a document that describes the idea behind the "mission" with some links to businesses around the area that I like as well as pictures of what a "mission" in the area looks like.
