I like number 1. In particular I like the color scheme black/white with a shot of bright color. Please continue in the same vein. I also like the inclusion of the abbreviation LSID with the stylized L and I. Please continue in the same vein. Ideally, if you can make it more elegant & high class, that'll be great. It looks a bit sporty right now.

I like the ideas of number 2 as well, especially the idea of a pictorial & text. But this particular picture/symbol doesn't quite work. It reminds me of a television programme. A shot of color/other colours, not just grey would work well, I believe. A stylized LSID abbreviation may work as well in addiiton to the full name.

Number 3 is on the right track, but it is too wordy. Too much going on. Though I like the fact it refers to the motto/slogan. It is not elegant, though.

I continue to like number 1 most because it conveys simplicity and the color scheme (black/white with a shot of red) seems to work. I also like the inclusion of the abbreviation LSID and the simple way the full name is displayed on the side without "The" in front. I particularly like that I is part of D and the way the dot on top of I is displayed with a burst of bright color. I also like the shortened on top L. The overall effect of the styling of LSID conveys the idea of a picture, I like this. If this effect is improved further, it would be great. But the logo needs to become more elegant, for example, through better stylization/font of the abbreviation LSID. The lettering in LSID is too fat and clunky, that's why I said it looks sporty.

Number 2 captures the lightness and elegance idea better because the LSID lettering is skinnier and the font conveys lightness, but the overall look is too conservative and it does not add much on number 1.

What is missing from all logos at the moment is more of a spark of originality. The logos at the moment are just a bunch of letters in different combinations.

Blue does not really work. Shades of black, white, a little red, and grey as colors for the concept of LSID seem to work best at the moment. I'd like to see some proposals with other colors as well: let's say deep blue, a faint yellow, the idea of color contrast appeals to me.

Number 3 emphasizes Legal Services from the full name of the company. This effect is achieved through the bigger font size. This is not necessary. All words in the full name of the company are equally important. I ranked this proposal third because it has a little effect under the abbreviation LSID (this little curved line which adds femininity and may be elegance), but it is too common. I have seen it plenty of time before.

Also when one includes the abbreviation LSID, the full name of the company, and the motto "Intelligence for the UK legal sector", the whole thing appears too wordy and not like a logo, but a mouthful.

Interestingly, when LSID letters are colored in white, the overall effect is one of lightness. Especially if combined with skinnier, stylized letters. I'd love to see a few proposals in this vein please.

I like the word intelligence. This is what the company is selling.

We have a new proposal at number 1. Looks great. The D is simple, yet elegant, a combination of L and D in cursive, in light gentle colors, and emphasizes L for legal and D for digest which is quite appropriate. While this gentleness is contrasted with the full name of the company on the side which is long, black and serious. Great contrast, and memorable. The way the D is expressed reminds one of refinement and perfume (class), spring and air. I like it as it is. I also like that the colors in D are two. This nicely corresponds with the site's content which is dual tracked, one for lawyers, and another one for corporate counsel. But let's play around a little bit with it please. It looks like the web site design will be dark background (black, may be deep navy, may be dark grey) with light letters (probably white) with a few pop up boxes in bright colors such as the green and blue in D with sentences in white. I'd like the logo to go with it. Any suggestions please?

Thank you all. I see, the tender color tones of L/D and its subtle elegant contrast with the serious black name of the company are lost on the dark background when compared with number 1. In number 2 all one sees really is a letter D and the L portion is a bit lost visually, probably due to its color. Not great. This detracts from the previous feeling of elegance (currently in number 1). Is it possible to experiment with the colors in L/D on the dark background a bit further please. Still keep a dark background but change the L portion in D into another light suitable color which is different from the color of the name of the company to the right. Or change the green in the D portion to another color that suits a new color L...
Please have the name of company and the motto as in number 1, i.e, the size of all words in the name of the company to be the same. I am trying to see whether the same subtle, gorgeous effect in number 1 can be replicated on a dark background with a different palate of colors.

New number 4. The idea of an abstract symbol associated with the company is interesting, But not this exact one please. It reminds me of a hotel or airlines logo:) There is a sense of luxury and light emanating from where the petals all touch each other, which I like. But it is not compelling enough. And it needs a bit of color. What I particularly like about it is that the company happens to have 3 main product lines for each of lawyers and corporate counsel, with the 3rd one being the same for both types of customers. This happens to correspond with the number of petals in the symbol here on each side of the "flower", and also conveys the concept of one-ness in the 3rd product ("the bud"). Is it possible to add gentle elegant colors to the image please? Will a letter stylization or something similar be too much in the middle of the "flower", do you think? I don't particularly care for different font sizes in the company's name. I'd prefer the size to be the same for all words in the name of the company please.
