Here are some of my concepts. I've gone for something that's fairly clean and simple, yet striking. Creating an icon that works well within the logo or as a stand alone element, one that can be used for things like favicons or watermarks.
The icons are actually a progression going from #48 - #54 - I played with brackets around the initials, and it progressed to a creative shape/border around the NG initials.
I've also tried a range or colours and shades.
The logos are 100% vector so will scale well to any size, and works well in full colour, B&W and on coloured backgrounds if needed,
It would be my pleasure to work up any variations so please do say. I look forward to your comments or thoughts.
Wow, this is GREAT! You skyrocketed to the top of the list once Natalie took a look at these.
She absolutely loves the icon on #54, but would like to see some different coloring options. Maybe darker blues like in some of the other entries by other designers? See entry #92, for example.
We also would like to see a different arrange of the wordmark on #54. We really like the way that the workdmark was designed by another designer on #92. Perhaps something like that, where "Natalie Gregg" is on one line and the third line is "Family Law" (and maybe with a line to indicate it's a tagline and not part of the company name)/
Anyway, I think you are very close to what we want, as long as we can get the right colors on the icon and the right layout of the wordmark component.
Well firstly thanks for the great comments and feedback, always appreciated! And of course it would be my pleasure to work up some variations.
And here they are. Each one has a slightly different (1) colour for the blue (2) arrangement of the colour in the icon, so switching the borders around (3) and slightly different approaches to the wordmark - bringing in a line with and edge on just the tagline, on both top and bottom etc.
Look forward to your comments, and of course if there are any other variations you'd like to see don't hesitate to ask.
Great work! As we near the end of the contest, you are now our #3 designer. Congratulations! You made the top three.
The lead attorney felt that the current top-choice did a slightly better job at conveying our primary adjectives of POWER and PRESTIGE, though we really liked your logo. She just felt that, after looking at it with some others, it seemed a bit generic . . . and wasn't clearly a law firm (though it definitely was a beautiful design).
Good luck as we enter the final phase! If you wanted to submit additional designs -- even new ideas -- that were a better fit with our initial profile of what we wanted (masculine, simple, conveying "power, prestige and value") . .. that would be great.
