Ok. Now we are getting somewhere. It's masculine and bold. earth tones are a little hippie for me. but best so far. I'm gonna rank it silver when I can figure out how to do that. I would have made that cool tail on earth a bull whip. we said we were men but not good men. add some danger more mystery. coolio good work. Killian.
Thanks for the feedback, but if it's only ranked a silver then much works still needs to be done. Sorry for the hippie color. It'll be changed to something with more testosterone.
Thank you for the additional submission. #43 was a good idea that didn't work for us. The figures on top of the letter T look a bit too much like candles on a birthday cake. Also, the yellow might be a bit too cheerful.
Actually, this is very good but I would suggest that the men on the "T" be replaced with a cowboy hat and the yellow be something a bit more tragic - dark crimson or cracked, burnt parchment.
Bob the bass player here: after some consideration, I think we would all rank #51 and #6 as our favorites of the bunch. Although Killian thought that the T would look better with the hat, somehow it doesn't work as well as we had hoped--standing back a few feet, it's hard to tell whether it's a hat or a bat. BUT #51's the colors are the best so far and would suit #6 just as well.
Thanks for your continued work, and for considering (and trying to make sense of) our feedback.
Bob again: Ah, just as I was commenting on #51, you were submitting #52. Very nice! I really like this one quite a bit. If I were the artist, I might experiment by inverting the elements--by that I mean make the figures large, make the lettering smaller, and emblazon the lettering across the torsos of the men. #52 is my favorite, and I'm sure the other 'Men will like it as well.
"Yeah I was just doing that actually." So you were indeed. #54 is competitive. I really like the overall effect, but the lettering needs a bit more contrast to avoid getting lost. I do miss the orange script in this one. If you wish to invest a little more time, maybe some bolder treatments to bring the lettering out a little more (not too much). Since there's no money to be made in music ;) we have to rely on merch sales to buy-off the monkey, so whatever logo we choose has to succeed as a t-shirt viewed from 20 feet away.
That's a very true statement, being a musician myself-- I can totally relate. I have this in mind when designing. If it were going to be screen-printed on a t-shirt the lettering would be knocked out and the color of the shirt would come through. But after viewing it, the letter could be more legible -- do you want to see it with an orange background?
We really like #56 and are wondering where you got the image, and whether it could be tightened-up a bit with a little less weight to the legs, better feet, and maybe the guy on the left doesn't really have a big hole in his head.
