I've taken into consideration readability and industry relevance. The key word is "launderette" which needs to be legible form a distance and close up on business cards etc. The location is secondary since people who live there or visiting really should know where they are.
Design #12 #13 is my fave it cools fun and functions as a pointer, for example the sign can be placed down the road pointing towards the shop.
Ok Scott, I get your drift and professional comment so keep the word laundrette large ! Can you brush stroke the the Isle of Mull bit please ? Like the shade of blue what I call baby blue.
#25 with a script font..I am 100% dead-set against using any type of script font set to path around a circle, as you can see it becomes less readable. this font was the easiest to read and still it is difficult to read and actually takes longer to figure what it says as compared to a san serif font as I have been using.
we are dealing with signs and sign need to be legible, same go for logo on the side of cars, trucks vans, the logo needs to be read in 3 seconds (max) it may sound like a short time but reading it's a long time.
I've added a blue border to the white text as you can see this does make the white text stand out more than the 24 and we still keep the worn/washed out look.
