Thanks for your entries. I feel like the images might be too big compared to the words. Maybe half the size? I dunno what would look best, but I do know #81 and #82 are a little too big for my tastes. Interesting concepts with stuff inside the envelope.
Thank you for the fast turnaround. I like the smaller images better than the really large image. Between the two, I strongly prefer the flower over the globe. I'm not sure if I don't like the globe because of the light green dots on it or what... but the flower is my preference of the two. I wonder if it would look better with the flower without the envelope, or the flower to the left and envelope on top, or just the envelope. I don't know exactly how to say it, but I'm not sure that the flower inside an envelope gives the image of making your mailbox green and reducing your junk mail. But it is an awesome looking flower.
Hey there - thank you for your feedback. Yeah, I like the flower too. The dots in the landmasses of the globes are radients. Sometimes they are difficult to see as the images are optimized on this website.
If you don't mind, I have an observation. The great thing about your company is what it prevents - junk mail. Unfortunately, a logo with a bunch of letters under a circle with a slash wouldn't make a very appealing logo. My concept was to associate your name with the underlying benefits of your company - that is, conserving our environment. That is why I chose the globe and the flower. I wanted to stay away from representing the mailbox because the word is already so visual. If you say mailbox, the first thing people are going to think about is the old-fashion box much like your getting. In my opinion, I don't think it's necessary. Further, as I understand it, your company concerns itself with what's *in* the mailbox, rather than the mailbox itself.
The thing about this site is that you have lots of talented designers who want to win the competition. So everyone will dazzle with great illustrations, lots of shading and gradients - lots of bells and whistles. As a business owner, you have to think about the logistical application of your logo. Unfortunately, what's looks really great on your screen will usually be the most complicated to reproduce on business cards, signs, etc. I always advice my clients to go with the simple approach that truly conveys your business concept. As an example, I direct them to look at the logo for Dell Computers. It couldn't be any simpler.
All that said, I'll revise my entry with the flower so you can take a look. Please let me know if you have any questions and good luck with your company. I think it's a great idea.
