We like the idea of the compass, but it took several of us each a few minutes to figure out what it was. Prefer th elettering in #11, but the positioning in #10. #12 is interesting, but doesn't quite seem to work.
We like #40. The flat 2D viewpoint is easuer to comprehend, but the globe doesn't speak to the message. Two thoughts on this. Perhaps the inclusion of a small "N" in the compass in a way that didn't confuse it with the words. The compass point through the "E" in exit, especially in the position where East would be on the compass, has some real possibilities. Going back to #12, it is a step towards integrating the words with the symbol.
We'd still like to see #40 without the globe.
