The EventerLogo Design Contest

Hi guys,

I thank all of you for submitting brilliant designs. I appreciate your hard work and time and will therefore update you as to where I am with my preferences.

Initially, in the job description, I requested a character. Indeed, many of you have come up with very cute, original characters. Some of you, have taken creative liberty and have submitted logos without a character. In fact, If you were to check out my top rated logos, you'll see that some of them have a character and some don't.

The rankings aren't necessarily based on whether there is or isn't a character. Rather, there are other qualities that supersede that.

My company does high-end events and work with sophisticated clients and operate on very high budgets. I need the logo to reflect that. I need it to be clean, classy and sophisticated. I don't want, at this point, cartoons, nor do I want very colorful, fun logos, despite the fact that THE ONES SUBMITTED ARE GORGEOUS!!

I don't plan birthday parties or school events, unless they cost like a wedding.

I look forward to seeing logos based on what I wrote. Once again, I am open to logos with or without a character if they are good enough. Also, if you don't include a character with a face, I still want elements of the character (Top hat, bow tie, tuxedo etc.).

I love the logos that you guys are producing and I hope that by tomorrow night (I'm in NYC) I'll know exactly which one I like.

You guys shifted to clean and classy stuff, according to my comment yesterday, and I love it. One thing though, some of the logos have put so much emphasis on the hat that it looks as if I run a hat company.

I want a logo that shows a timelessness (hence the top hat, which is no longer worn), yet is not old fashioned (hence the clean, modern looking text and format of the symbol).

Please show me some logos that embody both these qualities and clearly show event planning (I don't necessarily need martini glasses etc. - that's very typical).

I'M WAITING FOR THE LOGO THAT WILL KNOCK ME OUT OF CHAIR AND THAT WILL WIN YOU SOME INTERNATIONAL PRIZE!!!!!!
