The thing I love about this one is that it takes away the idea of it being a petri dish. I'm not sure if I love the "o" being heavier or not. Let's try the "o" outline with the same weight as the other 2 letters.
I like this. You are definitely one of the finalists.
Here's where my thoughts are overall:
1- I don't want the "o" to look like a petri dish.
2- I don't want the "o" to be too perfect (too round or too contained).
3 - I'm not sure we have the colors right. I loved the darker tones - like jewels.
That said, this logo still stands out for me, so I'm taking it/you to the finals. If you can come up with something that addresses the 3 points above, we will be getting closer.
Thank you for your work on this! It's been fun watching you create. Let's keep going!
Also of note, I'm loving the shading on the gold dots to make them look like balls. I don't know what to do with that - apply to all or what- but I wanted to call it out.
I like this a lot. But the "o" looks like something under a microscope. I don't know what to suggest, but it could look cool if that "o" showed more connection - the dots being connected.
Also, see the Pointillism image I attached just now. Any way to get closer to this idea?
Hi, Benalu. I'm drawn to all of your designs. So thank you for these.
Here's what's in my head: I don't want this to look like a petri dish of bacteria. :) I want it to represent connection and community.
The Dots also represent the art concept Pointillism - where lots of different dot make something greater.
Is there an option where we can use the dots to create the words The Dot? Like, maybe all of the letters are made up of dots, not just the "o"? Or "The Dot" is in the white space/absence of the dots?
Ok, Let me check your new releases! Also.... I was looking at some serif fonts I like. They are feminine, sophisticated, yet authentic. Can you try the logo with one of these fonts or something similar? "Playfair Display," "Crimson Pro," and "Cormorant Garamond.

I'm trying to think if a touch of shimmer, like gold, would fit. maybe just in the O of "dot." Do you mind trying something with a little gold?
This is my favorite so far. Nice job.
