We would like to see a variation of colors. Even using up to 4 or 5 colors within the logo is welcome.

If you really want to win this contest, the client would be interested in someone who could crate a logo that has a bridge (very simple design-like the arc of footbridge, maybe with a vertical post at each end - or not), that is going over some water, and than maybe a peak of a mountain in the back. It would be very simple, the way this tree is done, but it would convey a "crossing" - the bridge over a water, and the addition of a mountain peak might show that something of a large scale is happening or going to happen. This would be in contrast to
a simple footbridge that can be crossed in a minute.

An emblem would be key here to tie it all together.
