HI J3RRY. You are very talented. It really came down to the face on the character. SO many of your elements are better but the face is my son and the other guy just captured it better. Thanks for all of the work and good luck to you. God bless!
I cannot believe that I didn't notice this sooner. The tag line should read "Forging your Graphics Solutions". Note the s on the end of the word Graphics.
Please check #127 and #129. Sorry for I can't make the 3 stars below because I think ,its other designer's first idea, and as a designer here we are not allowed to copy other designers idea or else we will get banned from here. Hope you understand. Thank you!
Thanks for liking my revisions. Please check #114 without the red of Signsmith. Please also check #112 with colorless background. I also made a little changes below on this version to make it overall cleaner look. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks and God bless!
Better! We are getting close. Can you take away the subtle red highlights from the word Signsmith?
Also, I posted my top 8 to my FaceBook and your design killed it with votes. Interestingly enough, 2 of the designs that I had in my top 8 are your entries 85 and 60. THese got lots of votes for the clean lines. You have made bunches of improvements since 60 was submitted but can you do this one with that clean background and less color. I will need supplemental versions with less color for certain applications. People really liked 85 too.
This is by far one of my favorites. The more rectangular shape is good too but it is a little underwhelming. When I think about using this as my company logo, I think about printing this on large and small places. There are a couple things that could use some find detail refinement. The anvil and the apron blend together a little too much such that they will disappear into one another. Also, The SIgnsmith's (Sean) beard and his shirt collar and apron blend together a little to much so that they will be indistinguishable. If I'm honest, your design is superior to the other designer with whom you are competing but the minor details remain to be sorted. The face of his version of the Sighsmith is better defined but I don't like the orientation of the body on his design. His blending of red, white and blue, specifically in the background and in the bottom of the shield/plaque is a touch more interesting but not too far off. Please put some work in on work in on the details that will significantly differentiate you from him. Its down to the finish line time.
That very interesting and quite creative but not exactly what I had in mind. I was thinking more of just taking the circular background that you had and changing that into a rectangular-like plaque shaped background.
Please check #83 with less squatty S version. Hope you like it. About the plaque shaped background, can you please tell me more? Also do you have an image of a sign with 1770s look design? Thank you!!!
Even better yet! Can you make the first S in SIgnsmith to be a little taller and less squatty. Also, can we play a little bit with a "plaque" shapped background? Like the sign that would be hanging out in front of a blacksmith's shop in the 1770s. I like that the arm and the head and the word Signsmith hang over the edge so I am not looking for the entire graphic to be inside the more rectangular shape
Please check #77 with added a little bit white on the background and #78 with playing the hair style a little bit. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!
And, maybe lighten the background up a little. I don't mean make it lighter, just add more white contrast. Expand the "core" of the white starburst in the middle. The color tomes are perfect... just expand the white by 10%.
This is awesome! You are killing it and have taken over first place. Do a little more work with the hair. Your depiction is very accurate vs the pics that I submitted but i'd like to add some sex appeal to it. Just a touch more "flowing locks" look on top. You are close to coming from behind and willing this thing so keep pushing and this thing is yours.
This is fantastic! We like this a lot. Can you do a little work on his hair? Just make it a little more styled without the big cowlick in the back? You know, a little more super-hero like.
Please check #70#71 and #72 . I think these versions look more balance and cleaner than my other versions. Please feel free to ask for any changes you want. Thanks!
The anvil needs a little improvement so that it looks like an Anvil. Maybe lower the "The Carolina Signsmith" box to reveal more of the bottom of the anvil. Also, the background is a little "busy". Not sure how to explain that last comment but there are lots of hard corners and lines and visual stimulus.
I so completely LOVE this. It's not quite the right image for my company logo but Sean needs that on his wall. Just for fun, if you don't mind, make the S on his chest the same as the S in "Signsmith".
You're really stepping up at the deadline. I like it. A couple things... can you make the anvil smaller, angle his head a little more toward the middle and slightly down. Also, add some blue in the background. Make the Anvil black or gray and his shirt red.
Thanks a lot for the feedback. Yes please upload more photos of your son especially a little bit sideview and looking down of his face if thats okay? Thanks a lot !
Very nice first draft. I like a lot of the element and you incorporated all of my wants. 2 things for now... take away the "Est. 2020" and make the Signsmith dude actually look more like the pic of my son that I attached. If you need additional pictures to work from, I'm happy to provide them. Again, its a caricature but it needs to resemble him.
