The Artisan's BottegaLogo Design Contest

Hello designers , our business has been operating for over 40+ years under a business name called CELLAR PLUS... however, while the business previously when run by my family serviced mostly 80% winemaking supplies..... but in the last 10 years the winemaking interest has droped as wine prices have dropped , but our interest is more towards food making, sausages and salami production .....
During the last 10 years, many business in our region that sell wine to drink ( not equipment like us) have opened trade like CELLAR MASTERS , CELLABRATIONS , WINE CELLAR DEPOT..... etc
so, due to this external influence outside our control we found potential customers walking past didn't identify that we were an equipment specialist supplier , hence didn't stop into our show rooms...


so , we hope our new logo - Does NOT incorporate a" wine bottle or cork screw" into the design.

We appreciate the assistance and reading the detail we have provided. Once we have selected our preferred design we would like to stay in touch with them if they would be interested also create some themed design stationary, and wall paper type image that will become consistent through our private label packaging , shopping bags, boxes etc

and further work into the future for showroom posters , showroom banners and more. we feel we are good honest operators and look to work with some of the many talented designers we have seen already seen on this website.

Hi designers

in the brief it didn't ask about fonts . While we will require your professional thought to what reflects brand best, the font used will need to be used on exterior showroom signage as well as on staff uniforms, so it should be relatively clear to read from a distance ( not just when standing 1 mt from it) when the logo is extended in size 1.5 x 1.5 mt .

1. logo can be round or oval ! what ever design allows best space for the words.

As our region is mostly English speaking we have a large percentage of Europeans now living in Australia, however, while we believe the name "ARTISAN" products is well understood by the broad community, we have had some feed back that "BOTTEGA" is lesser know as a name for a place to show. Thus , we have also registered the name "The Artisans Warehouse " which is more mainstream. As the number of letter characters of "warehouse" is similar, we hope that if the market research suggests we could use the same logo with these words instead.

so, where possible, if designers could offer there same logo format , with either wording, in the same or different font style then we will more likely go with that designer we has provided the extra effort. if not possible , that's fine. we of course will reward the best design.

Hi designers..

thankyou for all your creative energy and efforts in the designs you put forward for us to consider.

we have added 2 new pics that show the use of the Italian pin stripe that we would like to see if it can subtle incorporated into the top 5 ranked designs on the red or black background ... if you do have some time to forwarded through any final versions it would be greatly appreciated.

we like the distressed inner of some designs, but the life like creation of the wax stamp put forward by others ....if you can find a way to creatively bring these 3 layers together... I think that will be our favourite ...

this said , these are all quite workable designs for us.... its been a positive experience for us ... and we hope to post future work here of the themed wall paper and via our other business on facebook contact " cellarplus - Melbourne)
