To represent the 'Art' in the title I used "The Vitruvian Man" concept of Leonardo da Vinci's which features a man with a fit form, considered a study of the human body. It's a very recognizable image and a public domain image. I think it nicely ties art and fitness together. 'Art' is shown in a brushed font style and 'Fitness' in a sturdy, bold font style.
I took the idea of the winged shoe from Greek mythology, the shoe being the 'A' in 'Art' and the wing being an 'F' for 'Fitness'. The symbol (behind the Nike mark) to me represents movement, flight, athleticism, etc. The squiggle underneath also represent movement or fitness to me, plus makes the mark fun...
Ivan, why does entry #95 have a copyright restriction on it? It is a public domain image, hundreds of years old(?) Just curious... and at that it was only it's concept and silhouette used, not the actual image. I also hand drew it based on the original drawing and converted the drawing into vector... thanks for the feedback on this one, am curious to know where the issue was...
