The 1421 Research, Education and Exploration Foundation (“1421 Foundation”) is a USA based non-profit organisation which acts as a focal point for ongoing research into the history of maritime exploration.
The aim of The 1421 Foundation is to galvanise support from academics and researchers from all corners of the Earth, with the view to re-writing the history of global exploration.

The 1421 Foundation unites enthusiasts, supporters, and academics towards a vision of modern collaborative research, participatory exploration, and shared discovery with the purpose of creating meaningful, even thrilling, educational programs delivered through traditional, digital and social networking platforms.

The target audience is international, aimed at students, educators, and adventurers.

I would like to see a compass, telescope or some kind of navigation device incorporated into the design as this would hint at the notion that the 1421 Foundation supports exploration and adventure.
