Hi
Thanks for your comment.
Good point the "thinking out the box", was not the original intention,... actually the position of the text was like TBL VENTURES being the "base".
That's very helpful background Fermat! I'm trying to both build value and companies, and to help them through transitions of leadership, product development, new markets, production expansion, etc. I got some feedback from a team member that he liked your logo very much and thought the company name transcending the box also could be interpreted as we "think outside the box"...although that's a bit of a cliche...
Hi
Thanks again for the chance !
Usually the square, as basic shape, is used historically to represent the stability (basis), order, and basically, civilization... you can see in a lot of logos.
I guess that your customers are looking for stability, and specially, as you says: building values... and the people uses the square as symbol of building... the base of the buildings, of the cities,... surely because the triangle was not stable, and the pentagons, etc, were more complex to do, so, the square always was associated with the builders, the cities and the mankind.
Alot of companies uses, like Microsoft, H&R Block, GM, GAP...
is more the symbolism that the design, actually.
In your special case, for your logo, I tried to use the text inside a square, is elegant, and easy to recognize, trying to not make the square too much bigger, even that now I'll send some variation.
Also I sent some variation (that I removed but I'll resend), with the upper right cornir symbolizing like an arrow, to make an effect of "movement", of "go up".
I'm sorry for the boring stuff and my bad English...

Thanks again for the chance.
Even that I sent some variations for your evaluation, please, don't mind to ask about any change.
