My entry. I created an app icon with the T of TAPPSI. The T is in the block style you see often at taxis. The icon can be used along with the name or as stand alone (app)
Question: I see a lot of designers integrating the name into the app square. Is this a must or are you looking for an icon only aswell?
Luke - I think we're close to finding our perfect logo. I was wondering if you can make 4 little variations - all to Logo # 38 - to see how the logo will look with these slight changes.
1. Just remove the grey "shadow" effect in the background. 2. Switch the black background for a white background. With this, we would obviouslly change the white letters for black ones, or another tonethat fit's better. 3. Could we make the "T" and the "s" and "i" letters have the same size/weight as the "APP" letters? 4. Finally, could we just have a look at how the "T" logo on its own would look like? Without the letters Tappsi. Also, please use your best choice of color background for this.
Thats great. Sure, no problem at all. I uploaded several variations with the app icon in white and the background black and yellow. Sorry for the overwhelming of designs but I wanted to give you a large insight.
What I have noticed is when going with a white background for the app, the yellow becomes pretty weak. So to emphasize elements on white, black is the best color. That's why I also uploaded designs with black.
My personal favor is leaning towards a yellow background with the "T" in black. As in #89 or #92 And maybe for the word Tappsi something like this: #96 - Tappsi in full black #97 - Tappsi with still the app emphasized in black and "T,S,I" in grey which comes out stronger then yellow.

We decided to go with #98, but also liked a lot your proposals in other tones, colors, B&W, grayscale, with gloss, "only the T", which are suitable for other uses (paper, monochrome, etc.).
I will appreciate it if you can include these other versions in the file so we can also use them when necessary depending on the need. (including also versions with the gloss, and "just the yellow T" on black box.
