I followed your sample as best as I could...some points were tough to tell just due to the size. I think this is accurate, though. I like the variation in the line. Adds a little more visual interest :)

I never meant for you to follow it exactly. Mine was rough... just for inspiration... but you did get really close. :)

What do you think? Would you do anything different? Do you like that the water is touching the fountain?

Logo Designer
haha - well...I figured it was the closest thing to what you were envisioning...

I DO like the water touching. I didnt' think I would, but it makes more sense. I think that top tier / water could come down a smidge, though...I feel like there might be a little too much room in that gap - otherwise, I like it as-is. What do you think?

#539 - here's a version with the top tier nudged down a bit...I think it's really a matter of preference. Seeing them together, I think #538 allows for a bit more airiness.

You were thinking what I was thinking. I moved the top tier down as well, but I left the water as is. I also made the bottom tier thicker.

#540 Sure thing - how's this one?

I like it! One last thing (famous last words...). I do think I'd rather not have the water touching the top of the fountain. Can you erase just a tad bit of the water that's touching so that you don't have to raise the water?

Logo Designer
#541 - absolutely (actually - the fountain is taken out of the gold square, to it's just a matter of putting some object back in)

I have to ask you something about that top tier. It's in two part, right? What do those two parts represent? What if it was one piece instead of two?

Logo Designer
I had it in pieces just to break it up visually so it didn't feel too heavy. It can be one, though.

#542 - What do you think? It does simplify things.

Honestly, that separation adds interest. Otherwise, it's too blobby. I think I just realized what it was missing all this time...

I just threw this together, but I really think the bottom piece was missing. I mean, it's super rough, so don't copy it, but what do you think?

#543 - here's with a separation added on the bottom tier :)

I think the bowl bottom needs to not be wavy. It defines the shape, and it should be smooth, in my opinion. It gives it that additional elegance or refinement I was looking for. I essentially copied the top tier bowl bottom to make the lower tier bowl bottom.

#544 - here it is smoother. I didn't want to make it **too** smooth as I think it might veer too far from the shape quality of the rest of the fountain, if that makes sense?

Client
That bottom piece doesn't look like it fits in. I think time is up.

Logo Designer
Yeah - that's kinda what I was thinking.

#545 is a little more wavy, but smooth on the bottom - sort of a in-between? What do you think?

Client
It's a lot closer, but a little too bubbly for my taste. Smooth waves looks better and match with the rest of the design. I do think a nice, smooth bottom works and doesn't take away from the overall style, like this:

I used an oval selection to make it perfectly smooth and oval, and I think it works... I like it.

#546 How's that?

Good. :)

I just realized I left the trunk of the fountain in mine, and you took it out of yours. It should probably be out, right?

#547 - ha - I actually left it off because I thought you were trying to hint at that!

Client
OK... honesty... what do you think? It was your inspiration and creativity that helped get us to this point, so thoughts?

Personally, I think it's where I wanted it to be... it just took me two weeks to figure out what was missing for me.

Conceptually, it's the same as the initial entry - I really liked the concept to start with, so that's great.

Aesthetically, comparing the initial entry with the most recent one, I think - even though it's taken 80+ revisions to get there - it's **much** better than when it started. I think it has a much better presence within the box and the fountain itself has better visual flow (seriously no pun intended) The best changes has been the smoothing of the waviness in the edge quality. I think that fits the the conceptual idea of a fountain much better.

Client
I agree! The integrity of the initial design hasn't changed, and that's a good thing. :)

So are we done? REAL ESTATE needs to be bigger, and the single frame added (like 511) , but I think that's it, right? YIPPEEEE! We got ourselves a winner!

awesome! I'll prep the files for upload. I'll also get an "on white" version and a single color version ready to send for when the files are approved and the contest is over.
