I have to say, selling kids' clothing is a fantastic line of work! So, I'm pretty excited to have the opportunity to design the logo your business needs. :)
Now, I know you've removed the requirements for working with just green and purple. But, shoot -- they look so good together, I couldn't resist! :) Plus, well...this concept works so well with them, it just seemed like the logical choice.
As to the concept itself:
-Your clothing is organic winterwear -Leaves are there to represent "organic" -Snowflake is there to represent "winterwear" -Pale purple is there to represent icy tones of winter, and to harmonize with green (and blue) -Pale purple also can carry over to a "non-gender-dominant" approach to the kids' clothing you sell (light purple is the result of blending pink and pale blue -- traditional gender colors -- to represent a neutral approach)
I'll be uploading a few different variations of this concept as the contest progresses.
**And, please note: I'm also happy to make any adjustments that you require.
Feel free to let me know what you think. Have a great day!
I've submitted slightly darker versions of the first uploads. And, I will be submitting other ideas later on as well.
What do you think about the typeface I've used with my first uploads? I have many cursive/handwriting fonts at my disposal, but I did not use any of them due to your request to make your logo more modern in appearance and to get away from the "string" look. But, I'll happily submit a version that has a cursive/handwriting font in it if you'd like to go that direction once more.
One other thing: are you considering using an icon that is more of an animated character? If you are, I'll submit with that as an alternative.
Feel free to contact me with any feedback, ideas, or questions.
Thank you for all of your entries. We are a big fan of the icon you have provided and, as you guessed, the simplicity of the font. We are partial to the placement of the icon on #70. Is it possible to see the font in a deeper color? Perhaps a plum (we can't seem to get away from it, but that may work with the green). Thanks very much in advance!
Great! Thanks for the feedback. I'm currently posting this message via my iPhone. So, when I get back to my PC tonight, I'll upload the revision. Have a great morning! -Jennifer
So I've just uploaded the changes you requested. Sorry for taking so long; after I sent that message this morning I went to work, so this is the first time I've been back at my computer. Once again, my apologies for not being able to get those changes to you before now.
With the new color (plum) of the icon, my "designer's curiosity" got the best of me. I've since tried different rotations of the icon; hope you like them.
As always, do feel free to let me know what you think, and if you happen to have any suggestions I'd love to hear them. Have a great night!
Thank you very much for all of your efforts! We appreciate your entries. On my screen the wordmark looks red/magenta. By plum we had envisioned a shade of purple. Is this possible?
Click on that link, scroll to nearly the bottom of the page to see the purple tones, and choose the exact color you want from there. That way, I will be giving you precisely the color you want. :)
I took a look at various shades of plum, and chose this one. Hope you like it. :) And, if there is another shade or color on that list I linked to (above) that you prefer over this one, please let me know. Happy to make any adjustments you need. Have a great morning!
I'm going to assume at this point that you're headed towards picking another design, so I'm going to respectfully bow out at this point. Thank you very much for giving me the chance to work with you. Have a great night!
