Of course this is a very bad representation of what I want but please give it a go!! Notice on this type of radar scan there is the part of the "hook" where it looks like it's curling over? If you flip it upside down and open it up like a wave.
Well, how about you make it much wider inside, and the surfer is coming right out of the curl towards the screen. Then off on the bottom then off of the top right you can have the warm front(red) and going down along the left side you can have the cold front.
Thanks for the updates. Still want to see what can happen with this idea. Can you get that curl over the surfers head a bit more, and clean up the circle and maybe put a glossy feel to it. I would like this to look very clean and high end. Also, maybe maybe try to make the wake of the surfboard the cold front. I don't know.. Just thinking out loud.
Actually I am really enjoying creating this logo as I live in central texas and have spent many an hour glued to the radar maps on my computer screen as the hook w/tornado passed a mile or 2 south of me! it is exciting, when you know what it means...
#34 That's cool Dot!! Thanks. Definitely getting closer. Few thoughts.
1) Please make the orange on the bottom of the "hook" or "Curl" connect all the way through to the right side so the oranges / yellows are a continuos flow. 2) Please make the right side of the flow go right off the right side, not slanted upwards.. So the bottom portion of the radar colors will kinda be parallel to the bottom not slanting upwards. (does that make sense) 3) See if you can make the surfer coming right at the screen instead of off to the side a bit. 4) Please make the RED in the curl more solid like in #20 and #21. Right now the RED looks like a squggly line. 5) Is there anyway to put a little gloss and and shine to the over all logo. 6) Not really linking the font or the blue and red fronts. How about making the S a cold front and the F a warm front.
Of course I really appreciate you work on this. You rock!!!
