Making the text show more - i.e. - Surfaces being painted with a paint brush or cladding or finishing products, and 'beyond' could be spelled out of pipes or framing wood etc.
Since 'Surfaces Interior Design' is a logo less sister company - the surfaces word should be consistent to represent the design side of a home - or pretty finishes, the 'and beyond' is to show client I look below the pretty finishes
Since I'm a single woman with young kids I hope to cater more towards those I have commonalities with.
