Shall do. 1 year ago Delisha commented on #80 Withdrawn if you need me just contact me. 1 year ago flat_six commented on #80 Withdrawn Dear Delisha, thank you for taking part in my tournament. Only the 2nd time in a period of ten years that I have encountered the situation to develop and choose a logo. I have noticed again as the time did progress and favorite designs were starting to develop that the selection process to me became somewhat more challenging. As I have seen some very interesting approaches including their refinements. Your proposal was very strong from the beginning. For a very long time. Well structured and easily understandable at the same time. I probably would have chosen your icon in particular when the core business of mine for this project would have been different: marine engineering, insurance, financial services. In other words your icon looks solid and serious to me. But at the end my final decision has led to a different design. I like to thank you for your hard work and for the fact that you’ve been willing to share with me your creativity, your flexibility for providing alternatives and time. Best regards Thomas 1 year ago Delisha commented on #286 Withdrawn Hello, Please check my revision. Thank you 1 year ago flat_six commented on #286 Withdrawn Thank you. Try to reduce the font size of "of the" even more, please 1 year ago flat_six commented on #80 Withdrawn Can't repeat myself too often. your #80 is the strongest proposal since days. fyi, I meantime have decided to drop the color red during this week and only would like to concentrate on navy blue (mainly for the ship design) in combination with turquoise for caribbean (and maybe a wave) 1 year ago Delisha commented on #283 Withdrawn Hello, I've combined designs #80 and #213 into one. is that what you are looking for? 1 year ago flat_six commented on #80 Withdrawn FYI I have just requested an extra three days extension, for every one in our finalist phase to have a little extra time for creativity on refinement, provided same is necessary and for me for careful consideration. 1 year ago flat_six commented on #213 Withdrawn Hi Delisha, your original #80 still strong for me. This one here #213 is the one of two alternatives #181 or respectively additional developments from the original. Here on #213 I can appreciate the symmetry. I am not so sure about the font proposed here. I think we should remain on the conservative font style (or similar) in #80 or #181. The wave in #181 is lightening up the icon within this one of two circles, makes it playful in this environment. But again in terms of clarity #80 remains strong from the first moment you brought it forward in this contest. Let's focus on this direction and try to work around #213 and #80. On #80 I would try to see how this could be modified in terms of the positioning. Icon to the left, project name to the the right (like u already ppsed in #81). Giving Superyachts and Caribbean the same size, putting "of the" in a separate line and reduce them in size. Thanks & regards, Thomas 1 year ago flat_six commented on #273 Withdrawn Hi Delisha, thanks for this. I see the longer aft section on the main deck. I continue looking. I have now reserved some more time for the process. I will get back to you. 1 year ago Delisha commented on #273 Withdrawn Please check 1 year ago Delisha commented on #257 Withdrawn Is there any important point about my design. 1 year ago flat_six commented on #257 Withdrawn Hi Delisha, thanks for this. Maybe there's something wrong with my eyes. But it appears to me that you have tried to create a third dimension in the icon. What I am trying to say is that it appears to me that the yacht is being displayed like from a little angle from the front to the aft area, although it is two dimensional only. I don't know if this is the higher bow area and the lower aft. Of the top deck, the funnel and the satellite dome. But it appears to me somewhat three dimensional. Which I like. Can you share my impression or is there something wrong with my eyesight this morning...lol? Kind regards Thomas 1 year ago Delisha commented on #257 Withdrawn How about this? 1 year ago flat_six commented on #217 Withdrawn the first yacht side sketch I prefer over this one. The red line on the letter "y" is not bad as a design element. But go back to your first yacht. clean up the various side windows to max one or two styles. White upper deck structure is more appealing to me than this blue one here. 1 year ago flat_six commented on #218 Withdrawn also: no, thank you 1 year ago flat_six commented on #219 Withdrawn also not my cup of tea. the thickness of the hull shape is too much emphasized by the first deck line. Your original hull shape (first design of this series) without the connecting line between bow side looks lighter and and corresponds better with the various deck lines / lids topping up. 1 year ago flat_six commented on #222 Withdrawn thank you. too complicated. not my path 1 year ago flat_six commented on #213 Withdrawn Yes, for instance, this could be a way how to integrate the letter "Y" and taking advantage of its symmetry. You should know that I am looking at two (plus one) things: 1. the title/name of this project "superyachts of the the caribbean", 2. the icon and 3. some time in future the abbreviation SYOTC in case the project becomes successful/known to a wider audience. I will look later tonight at it again. 1 year ago Delisha commented on #80 Withdrawn Hello, I have done what you asked, to the best of my ability and to the best of my knowledge regarding your comments, I am trying to understand what you have given me, wish me luck. Thank you 1 year ago Delisha commented on #217 Withdrawn How about this? 1 year ago flat_six commented on #80 Withdrawn search for photos of the following combination "yacht" + "kaos". Try to see if you find a photo showing the yacht from the front / the bow. Look at your icon. It is not bad. Forget about the other one with the sailing boat which I just also declined. We are not going there when talking about SUPER yachts. Look also at the symmetry of her decks when looking at her side profile. Take this as a kind of guidance when continue to work on your other proposal with the yacht showing from the side. Good luck 1 year ago flat_six commented on #216 Withdrawn Thank you. But a plain and simple no. Do not go into this direction 1 year ago flat_six commented on #215 Withdrawn Yes, going into this direction. Or: take the hull shape and extend it with a line to the bottom and shape a letter "Y" out of it and remove the "Y" in the word Superyacht. You know what I mean? Play a little bit around 1 year ago flat_six commented on #182 Withdrawn Indonesia is a beautiful country located in a beautiful region of the world. Climate, nature and colors are very similar to the Caribbean. You are at least 11 hours ahead from my location. As an example of our environment here google for photos of "antigua yacht club marina", check photos of large yachts here: https://www.superyachttimes.com/yachts 1 year ago Delisha commented on #216 Withdrawn How about this? 1 year ago Delisha commented on #215 Withdrawn Is this what you meant in the first comment about the letter "Y". 1 year ago Delisha commented on #182 Withdrawn Yes, thank you for giving me the time to provide the design you want, I will immediately fix what you ask for. I am now in this part of the world (West Indonesia time) 1 year ago flat_six commented on #181 Withdrawn I need to come back one more time on this icon. This proposal with the two circles, reminding me a bit on a seal of an official document or letter is not bad at all. But I would like you to think about also into the direction of using your icon in a triangle shape flag (maybe) flying in the wind. In the maritime scene we call these burgee and you find them often as logos for yacht clubs. https://nyyc.org/ or https://www.nrv.de/en/ -> scroll to the very bottom left corner. I guess you catch my point 1 year ago flat_six commented on #19 Withdrawn Hello again, I would like to encourage you to work also on this one. The icon is very detailed. Which personally I can appreciate, but I am not a printer. I am not sure how to express myself. But this yacht needs on the one hand more refinement but also simplicity. Refinement: the red line for the underwater hull part stops just in front of the bow. Doesn't look good. The type of windows are far too many and too unorganized. Check some examples here: https://www.superyachttimes.com/yachts The length of your yacht in relation to the number of decks is ok. Not too short (again we are speaking about superyachts) and not too long for an icon and logo. 1 year ago flat_six commented on #182 Withdrawn Hello Delisha, thanks for your other proposals. Basically I want to focus with two of your proposals. The first one is this here with the ship's bow. The other is the side profile of the yacht (will comment separately). I see that you have added an underwater hull paint in color red. Not bad. What I would like to you to do now in the next phase is to take a look at the symmetry of the word "SUPERYACHTS" and the letter "Y" which has some great potential to be played with, especially when displaying an icon of a later yacht from the front - like in your case. Whilst I generally like the font, I also would like to encourage you to propose a more modern font. Unfort I do not know their names. But look at my logo for Antilia Shipping or what "NASA" had been using. Something in this direction. With this proposal here of yours I am also thinking to have everything in white over a transparent background when using this in future as a watermark on videos or photos. Just to let u know which direction I intend to go. Which part of the world you are located (time zone)? 1 year ago flat_six commented on #80 Withdrawn Hello Delisha. You are good. Also this proposal is hitting me in a positive way. The bow/hull, the number of decks, centerline of bow and antenna - and as counterpoint the two different satellite domes. Seems that you have done some good research. Would be curious to see more of your creativity. Thank u. 1 year ago Delisha commented on #80 Withdrawn Please check 1 year ago flat_six commented on #19 Withdrawn Thank you for your input Delisha. At the first look very appealing to me. Not sure how this would work out for printing companies on a biz card, for the printer in the office for letter heads and as a logo on a Youtube video. I can appreciate the details. But maybe too detailed for proper display? 1 year ago
